Captain Latrell or don't - nobody here really cares, but all we ask is that if he doesn't score as well as you'd like - please remain calm and accept the result with dignity. And if he cracks a banner please accept his glorious bounty with grace and humility.

Can't wait for the Storm to lose and Latrell scoring 38.

Nothing to do with hatred of latrell.

You have 3 players averaging above 66, it's just don't be silly with the choices and offering advice.

Who's more likely to get an 80+ between Cleary, Hynes and DCE is a more difficult question.

This is the dilemma, trying to crank out an extra 10/15 points form the right cappo on any given week.

I'm sticking with Cleary, hasn't had his Hynes 130 game yet

Would you trade lolo to Murray and have to keep RFM in your 17, or trade lolo to haas and trade RFM to Fifita?

I'm actually leaving the C on DCE this week - I reckon Panthers v. Sharks will be a bit of a slug-fest and both Cleary & Hynes will be constrained a little (only a little mind), but the Dragons D looks pretty flimsy and DCE could score a meatie.
A bit of a risk, but let's go giraffe.

Different compared to a WFB option IMO. I don't mind it at all

DCE GK only adds to his appeal. Recent average is massive as well so has form.

Is DCE confirmed goalkicking this week though?

If so I'll captain him, but will probably bitch it and go Cleary lol.

Yeah I'm well aware that captaining him is a risky play. I made a similar play in the bye round, captaining Papy over someone like Ipap and it didn't come off, so it's not like this hasn't happened this year.

Understandably, I'd assume Latrell is going to be a very popular buy this week. Had Pappy so he seems the obvious choice. Only thing holding me back is not his history of up and down scoring, but just his - to be blunt - stupidity. He just seems destined for another suspension before the season is out. Anyone concerned about this at all, or can we trust that the new relaxed judiciary rules will allow him to play the year out?

As an owner in the past I'd watch frustratingly wondering where he was and if he was going to do something. This year I feel like I'd be on the edge of my bottom holder wondering if he's going to do something stupid and earn 10 in the bin, a send off, or suspension. He's the opposite of what I want in my Fantasy team, but as a H2H focused player, a week like the one just passed ends you if you don't have him and I feel I need to embrace it.

Bethany_B wrote:am I insane to be considering captaining Latrell in addition to buying him this week?

He is on an absolute tear the last three weeks and I don't exactly have faith in the Storm's defence to hold, especially not our right side with Walker Mitchell and AJ running at Seve and Wishart (or Anderson if they swap late). Add to that his goal kicking and the fact that I'm ranked at 3.8k and have been treading water the last few weeks, and I'm seriously considering doing it despite my better judgment.

First thought was C Cook or Cleary but you guys know I love a risky captain Very Happy

I wouldn’t Captain Trell mate I think the Storm will have tactics to give him a heavy knock early/bait him and get under his skin wouldn’t surprise me if Felise is the culprit! Take out Trell as best you can rough him up early we are in strife.

Storm don’t lose 4 in a row and Munster murders us every time I’m worried.

I do expect a close game but we have lost 31 of 36 games against you guys our record is woeful so I can’t be confident especially without Campbell our right edge is very vulnerable.

I’m now gonna get Cook in for M. King. I just don’t think I can go without him he will be the number 1 hooker in this run home. Also getting Trell in for Pap and May to Booth.

Other potential move I am looking at is risking it and going Mahoney to D. Fifita. The Titans don’t want him so he’s got to play for a contract elsewhere and show his worth plus he’s back on left edge his favourite and Titans have a soft run home. So yeah I may make all 4 trades!

Haas also on my radar upcoming. My worry re McInnes is if Tolman is a late in on the bench McInnes might only get 45ish mins! Are you guys concerned on this too?

Also I’ll be C Cleary this week.

If I do all 4 trades team would be this with 58k spare and 0 plus 4 trades left….

    McInnes Tohu Lolo
    Fifita Ipap
    Cleary DCE
    Burton Aitken
    Teddy Hynes Trell

Good having C options to consider again. Will add some interest on the run in, and maybe some stress for the top 10 lads!

Regardless of rank, you have 2 mega guns in Cleary and Hynes, going captain roulette just asking to set you further back behind the pack.

Captaining Latrell is chasing last weeks score IMO

I'm not against a captaincy gamble but you want high floor AND high ceiling.

Cleary and Hynes will give you a 40 at worst with both capable of 100+

Latrell could put up a 20 in an ordinary game
