I think I'm just accepting I'm not going to get Cook. Too expensive that it requires too much sacrifice elsewhere. Grant instead enables me to get a Murray or Tapine type as well

This was my plan - until I checked his scores again recently. I probs can’t afford him without weakening elsewhere though.

20min bench appearance with a short turn around time, maybe?

"Centre Connor Tracey, outstanding in the Storm match, has retained his place in the Sharks back-line pending the possible availability of Talakai"

Hopefully he comes into the starting side and thankfully Sharks play first up but Tracey seems to be putting him on notice either way.

I'm guessing they'll make a call on him after origin. Either way naming him to start or on the bench would be a guess by the coaching staff to some degree.

Like Mulvy I don’t have any of these guys either. I also don’t have Cook. Where would you put him in this list?

DCE and Ted on my in list asap. Not owning Cook has killed me this year though, feel like I need to get him too but already have Robson and still have Cotter. And think Grant has upside. Something’s gotta give.

I think Cook will be very important for my run to the finish. But at 925k, I think you'd probably do better to punt on Grant matching with Cook and spend the saved money on some of those other guys we don't have.

Although BSmith expected to be suspended it’s interesting he’s not even in the 21

Usually teams will name player before judiciary and then just remove if unsuccessful. On the outer due to culture???

Can assemble 17 without trades (Kennedy, RFM, Mann in for Cleary, Haas, BSmith) but with 310k ITB have to contemplate whether I sell green dots reaching the end of their life cycle (Ming) or red dots (Haas)

Haas, Cleary, Volkman, Trindall out for me.

Not the prettiest, but can still field 17 at least.

DiFi back starting for 661k with a half and a hooker on the bench and only 1 owner in the top 5000, currently.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't mighty tempted.

I see King as a great cut price MID keeper capable of averaging high 40's/low 50's getting 50+ mins as a starter. Any reason everyone seems so keen on trading him out?

I don't think he's really that bad of a 3rd MID option unless you are just flush with cash.

I think for Cheese it's more the fact that he's accepted what he's said and Storm know he'll at least miss this game so no point in naming him.

Do we know anything about him ?  Will he play big mins.  I suppose they don't really care about Garner  since he's  leaving.

He re-signed in Feb for the next 3 years apparently and looks to be 19 years old.  Looks like another young blood the coach is looking to blood.  Not playing him but looks like he'll retain a spot in the side for the year anyway, especially starting over Garner. I think that suits better than a red dot. To get DCE I only have 226K to play with so I don't think I need to overthink this one at all.  DCE will tear the Knights a new one too after getting beaten tomorrow night unfortunately.

Yeah have 310k ITB so was planning Ming to genuine gun (Cook/Murray - more likely Murray)

From those more knowledgeable, and ignoring their real lack of marquee signings (had to LOL at the Nikorima signing), do they have much of a chance of attracting a fanbase? I assume they would need to convert a fair few Broncos fans? Would anyone actually just change teams?  Seems unlikely from a team as popular as the Broncos in Brisbane

Outside of Munster, Ponga and Walsh, who really has been what media would describe as a marquee signing? We can't talk to most players until November 1.

I see the big one we missed as being Mahoney. Cheese came in with a handshake, resulting in Mahoney signing with another club, only for Cheese to then go to the chooks.

The structures in place by the club, and outreach the club is doing through CQ and also partnering with PNG will reap benefits in 3-5 years. The team next year won't light the world on fire, but if they can get 12th or above that would be a win.

Keeping an eye on Doueihi this week. A cut price keeper I could swap with Edrick or Koula in one trade sounds pretty good.
