I love having the ego filled with positive reactions to the junior rugby posts I add on the regular! It’s something that Im extremely passionate about, and reading all the responses and well wishes does warm me.

I do love a debate regarding league and fantasy, either way and I will always call out something I don’t agree with.

Not sure it’s reliable but that article about Mam has a pic of Mam/Reynolds and the sub heading “Broncos unveil halves pairing of the future”. So good signs got ARey. Or a cruel bait and switch.

    From the article:

"Mam, 19, has retained his spot in the halves after Gamble sustained a stress fracture in his lower leg which could see him miss about a month of action.

While Gamble has been viewed as somewhat of a stop-gap at five-eighth, he hasn’t lost a game since being recalled in round 7."

About a month, so counting for the week off between 15-16, you'd think that's at least 3-4 games. That could be enough though, 3 weeks of 40s sees him make 140k.

As MTB says, at that point, it'll be down to Mam's form. Well worth the risk imo. Starling to Mam, lock it in.

Traded out Vailea, Crichton, Bullemor, Mahoney, Katoa, Amone, Clune, Paulo and Sexton for a grand total of 7k made

Crichton and Mahoney I think were just bad luck with the way they started the year but the rest I probably could have done better. Crichton was a toss up with Ipap and Mahoney was a late in after Cleary missed round 1. Would have been Grant if he wasn't suspended round 1

Vailea I wasn't really sold on but didn't trust the base price bench middle (Ming). Should have followed the pack and gone with the highly owned guy.

Bullemor there were signs preseason + a few injuries that he was going to get the starting edge for a while. Didn't work out but probably a pick I made again

Amone was starting half with good job security and priced below his lowest ever starting score in the position. This is one I'd probably pick again, Amone just got it going a little too late for me to benefit

Clune was a good pick and was going to slow burn to 150k before getting injured. Long term average as a starting half was enough to make some bank

Paulo didn't really trust his job security but thought Rabbitohs would start slightly better than they did and he might get a few early tries

Katoa was a toss up vs Martin vs Fermor and I think I ended up with the worst option.

Sexton passed the eye test, played first bye and had the ceiling to be a cut priced keeper. Started well first 2 weeks then fell off a cliff. Would probably make this move again

tl;dr lot of 50/50 decisions went wrong, timing wrong on a couple but a few were definitely on me

Even with these trades. It probably would have been fine if you brought the right people in

Made sure you had guys like Taylan May and whoever else you missed out on that made a bunch of cash.

Assuming you captained Mahoney like me, I had the above and Berry so you could argue similar
My 'guns' were AFB,Taumalolo and Fifita too so it was a rough start as well
But to be fair my bad luck started a couple weeks back bleeding injuries to guns like crazy

Just saying it could be a bit simplistic to blame that as the main reason perhaps?
Had up to 30 trades and a few different captain options over the past 14 weeks to make inroads

Anyways just over halfway, plenty of time

Have made plenty of in roads since round 3 or 4 but not expecting it to amount to much

I think it's a combination of picking the wrong cows along with missing the right ones. Those that got on Tago instead of Amone and Ming instead of Vailea are 450k and plenty of points ahead

Wow with the Mam  news I’m really lost as to what to do this week.

I was planning starling and tevaga to reed and savage but now I’m wondering should Hastings or peoples become Mam as well. I have 11 trades left so need to be cautious.

What are most people thinking to do with Tevaga and Hastings? Starlings 100% gone

I wish I didn’t get sucked in to Peoples Sad

The bit where 'do not openly argue with moderation staff' is tricky, cause Welshy hasn't been right since March 1993, and even that was a 50-50 call. But I'll try. But it's hard. But I'll try.
