I think he's already priced higher than he will average. That's the main problem.

Walsh is a similar punt, but he's 130k cheaper. (not convinced on him either, but might grab him)

If Garrick scored 35 last week would anyone be buying ?

Manly have legit chance of making the 8. Warriors really don't. Manly will score more tries than Warriors for Garrick to convert. I think the price difference is justified

By that logic Jason Saab is a better pick than Kiraz

Garrick's FB average is inflated by last year's PVL-ball rules, where he averaged 34 points per game in goal kicking and tackle busts in his 3 games at FB.

In fact, last year in all games he averaged 33.2 points per game in tries (0.9 PG), goals (4.3 PG), line breaks (1.5 PG), and TBs (3.8 PG). Just don't see how that's sustainable (we've already seen that with his avg dropping back from 51 in 2021 to 40 this year on the wing)

If you think it is, he's definitely a buy. But it's a different game this year and Manly aren't racking up those huge scores and attacking stats.

Personally, I think he's a high 30s-low 40s average guy, priced at or even slightly above what he'll score.

It's Warriors and Tigers next 2 so tempting and not crazy bad draw until the end. I'll probablyjust save the trade and think about Hastings next round but I'm really leaning sell. Not really interested in Manu although think he'll get big score this round but then Storm Eels Panthers

Anyone wanna attempt the impossible and guess what sort of minutes Nat butcher is gonna get in that pack? May just take a punt on Walsh instead as I don’t think playing koula and Kiraz is gonna be sustainable. Ramsay could tempt me next week though

19 trades so may use all 4 this week:

    TPJ > Tohu
    Ilias > Angus
    Peoples > RFM
    Crichton > Butcher/Walsh

If you are happy with Garrick as your WFB3 knowing that

    1. Hynes (a half in a Top 6/8 team), Tedesco (dominant fullback in a top 6 team) and Papy (dominant Fullback in a top 2 team) will all average 50+ at a minimum and all have way higher ceilings
    2. His average as a fullback at 48 includes 4.5 TBs a game and most of the over scores was in Vlandys ball. His fullback average this year is 43 with 3 TBs, 0.5TA, 0.2T and 3G. Hard to see Manly really pushing those offensive numbers up so this feels like his best case.
    3. The 62 last week included 3 Offloads to hand, 3 Offloads, a TO and a TS which is 27 or about 1/2 of his 62 total points.

Don't think he's a bad pick but you are getting what you pay for. So be happy with him as a Keeper and you are fine.

As good as any in the sub gun range. Lock in Cleary then take your pick on who you think will have a good run home. 2022 is probably the last season Parra has with the core together so I don't think they will die wondering

Garrick is one of the better goal kickers... that's a plus

However, it did produce the following headscratchers:

    - Sell TPJ to Crichton, Tapine, or SST (umm..1/3 ain't bad I guess)
    - Buy Garrick (can't get behind it myself, but not the worst advice)
    - SST a left-field captaincy option (ok, come on now)

One thing Lone Scout got right was mentioning return of Doueihi should have positive impact on Hastings

Left field suggestion, for those struggling with cash generation, anyone thinking of trading cleary out downgrading to a moses or such like and freeing up cash to upgrade a sub gun to gun

    It’s on my radar

Im thinking points>cash from here on out, and I might take a hit to the team value and bring him in this week.

On the list as a cut priced keeper some time between 14 and 20. If I can pick him up somewhere closer to 500k and run him as a bench option for the rest of the year it's probably as good as I'm going to get

Wouldn’t do it with Cleary or Hynes. Anyone else you could make an argument.

    Papenhuyzen is currently injured

Options for WFB3 until he returns are

    a) play Koula/Savage/Lee/Kiraz some cheapie until you can get Papy back in your team. Taylan May/Stephen Crichton probably best options for those that have them, but not everyone does (and some of those that do have them may be without Teddy)

    b) get Ponga/Garrick/Walsh/some other premium-ish level WFB and trade that player to Papy when he returns. If Papy is late returning or you run out of trades/funds to make the switch when he does return then better to have a somewhat reliable score around rather than hoping your base price rookie pulls out a decent game
