Not sure if people are freaking out and jumping on Guns just a little bit too early (Cleary excepted of course)

I'm guilty of it as well but picking up low cost players with limited job security means you burn more than that one trade......as the red dots build up you need to use a couple more to get them out to other shitto's

Don't have him but Taafe at least looks like he is getting a decent run in the team....everyone else. meh

This all makes sense. However, I kind of want Tolo now and I feel much more comfortable paying 657K this week then possibly close to 700K next week if he gets a good score.

It feels safer getting Taafe over the other options too. Especially considering I've already got 2 red dots already.

If he has, then its not been mentioned by anyone/anywhere previously. Has been playing 6 in Q CUP.

May have been doing some running at 1 for the 'ressies' at training, i guess someone would had to have been.. but who knows.

Either way I don't see any fantasy relevance in him. I'd rather punt on Taaffe tbh

I'm not gonna get him. It's all about getting Cleary. I can do Wilton and Fermour to Cleary and someone with limited upside. For any other player I would hold my trades, but Cleary plus red dot is an exception. So, maybe Rushton?? Hahaaha

@MattNZ How confident are you on Rushton sticking around or at least being a bench player like Matt King?

Just go through last nights posts. He very well might become an 80 minute lock and the captain of the team in a few rounds time. If he can kick goals, that's not out of the question either.

King would be his highest potential.

Who knows with Ricky, but I don't see him letting the side down like Guler has been.

Worst case would be he gets the Horse first season minutes. Could wait a week and see what role he gets, thats what I am doing.

After last night's rush of blood to the head around selling Hynes I'm back to Wilton+Walters -> Tuilagi+Luki leaving 180ish ITB. JKing gets one more week to do something with his minutes. Next week looking to grab Tolo/Angus or Murray/Haas if a decent trade down option appears

MattNZ somewhat agreeing with my previous bold plan may or may not have affected this change of heart tongue

Jeez, just looked at Rushton. Played in a towelling for Wigan, which speaks ok of him, but he was born in 2001.

I mean, I have tattoos older than this kid. And email addresses! Bloody hell getting old is weird.

More talking about guys like Ipap, Haas, Murray etc who are probably at or close to their peak price plus guys like the Cronulla outside backs who will probably make a bit more but will also probs lose those gains just as quickly when the tries dry up.

If you can straight swap someone like Arrow, Mann, Fermor, Wilton etc for a discounted gun without having to pick up a >$350k guy with limited JS then go for it...but as you said (and like myself) a lot of people are carrying one or two red dots and swapping someone like Thompson for a dude with a few weeks lifespan doesn't make heaps of sense

In saying all this I have been wrong about most things this year rendeer

Decided to go Burton+Thompson > Taumololo + Rushton

Will leave enough for me to get one of Haas, DFifita or possibly even Cleary next week.

Not really, its a risk but probably one I can afford to take, as my only other out is Koula.

Looks like Turpin isn't injured as per NRL main site. Still wouldn't rush to get Paix

    tweet is from yesterday.

he was training in non contact bib.

not named in q cup either.

it may be a sneaky way of dropping him but also i don't see the point, literally no one would be surprised if he was dropped, and broncos generally don't BS with stuff like that anyway. kevy has enough trouble figuring out how to pick a team without adding mind games to it.

I read the posts. Rushton could be out of the team in a week, but he is basement price, can serve as a red dot, and if he plays well, can be a player who gets a few rounds. That said, Raiders players are 'avoid' at the best of times. Perhaps the right move is to not get Cleary until the right cow comes along, but he's a hard player to leave out. I regret not having him last week for example.

Every trade idea I'm coming up with feels forced. Team as it currently sits like this, $59k ITB, overall rank 14671.

    Starling
    Haas Mann Ipap
    Cleary Schneider
    Arthars Tago
    Crichton Hynes Coates

    Fermor Randall Brojo Ming
    Ilias Koula Vailea Thompson

Issues I can see - in order of priority of needing to be resolved:

    1. WFB weak, and the cover are both probably eternal purple dots which turn red on gameday. Everyone except me has Papenhuyzen. Was good the other week when he scored his 19 but hurts every other weekend. Not sold on Ponga or Teddy as pod alternatives. May just have to live with this until Turbo gets back
    2. 18-21 is just atrocious.
    3. Hooker -  No Cook or Grant is annoying but starling has been great.
    4. Probably only 6 Rd13 players so far - (assuming Koula gets a run). Is it too early to start thinking about this?
    5. Way too many bloody knights on my team

Is Nanai > Tuilagi too sideways? Would pocket me an additional $100k for the Turbo or EMG upgrade project

Probably a hold trades round for me

It sure is. At first it's a long way off, then you're older but still young. All of a sudden your in your 40s going geez have I done alright? Does life get better than this? Blah blah. And then 50 is coming round real soon.
