Starling's fantasy record is not keeper level when he gets anything less than 80 minutes. If you got on 2-3 weeks ago then you did great, but I don't think people who bought this week will do that well, as he doesn't have the fitness to play 80 week in week out.

Not to mention the Raiders are a much better team when he's playing 55-60 mins instead of 80, even if 80 mins is better for him in fantasy
Doesn't really matter if he's a keeper or not. For anyone who brought him in immediately post-Hodgson's injury he has averaged 50 and made about 140k if you factor in the price rise he'll get for this week. He's been a smart buy overall, and it wasn't a particularly large gamble to bring him in. In 2020 when he had the starting spot he absolutely carved up and made a load of cash. It was a little perplexing to see how many people rubbished even the mere suggestion of bringing him in.

Traded Nanai out. 37 with a try? He'll continue making cash for the time being but otherwise I feel it was a fair trade to make.

Guy is giving Paul Carter a run for his money in the demerits department.

Who could have figured that no pre-season then a couple of games in the Townsville summer might have meant he started slow? Not someone inside the coach's head, that's for sure.

Would you really need to do that to stoke the ego son?

He was a smart buy 2-3 weeks ago but if you bought this week I don't think he'll make you enough money. He will get you keeper scores while he plays 80, but I don't think that will last long enough for him to be a genuine keeper.

That said he'll be a nice one to have for the first bye. I just think Trevilyan or Frawley will be back sooner rather than later, and they will take minutes off him and send him back down to the high 30s low 40s range.

The Raiders are a better team when Starling isn't playing 80, he gets gassed and starts missing tackles, as happened tonight. If it was up to me I would be starting Trevilyan for the first 20-30 minutes, that kid is a future gun and the Raiders need to make sure they don't lose him.

Starling is a bit like Macca a few years ago. Not necessarily a great footy player but he gives you around 50 pts each week. To grab him early was a solid trade.

Tbh hes an ok footy player atm. Not great. Not sure he will be around in a couple of years. Good luck to him tho. Always tough for a small bloke in the middle

It's that or a closeted love for the lad.

He just reminds me of a smart a$$ little weasel that i want to hit.

He also burned me every time i traded him in.

But its mostly now just to perpetuate the meme ive created. Pride is now on the line for me every time he plays.

    Im running low.

I remember. No idea how I'll get to him.. might need to trade Coates to Koula this week to get the $$$

I certainly remember you talking about it. Well played sir. I was leaning towards hold, but I'm definitely prone to confirmation bias, so thanks for that. He was on the cards for Cleary cash though at one stage, and I think rd 13 saved him. Mann was unlucky, I wanted to keep him.

Yeah, I'll take it. Crept up nicely after the full time siren.

Just a tad bummed to see the 70K cheaper very similar option (Gilbert) score better, as well as the season-long keeper (Lolo) who was just out of reach.

But 44 is certainly nothing to wipe one's nose with. Just a bit worried that going forward he's going to be a Taupau-esque minutes watch every single week.
