Ben hunt let me down but I do remember him escaping goal which the app hadn’t given him! Scandalous

Lots of parra and Titans players to save my week tomorrow

Ya reckon kobe will be telling Payne to put the offload away?

He knocked on before he played the ball; perhaps they didn't count it as a completed play.

I suspect #2, but we can't know for sure until everyone's back.

Depending on the Storm team next week, I'm considering a Munster captain on the chance that #1 is correct, as I rate Munster a lot and he averaged 60 last year doing barely anything.

Don't want to be rude but almost made fatal mistake of going without Haas then came to senses and got him back in and C. Play EPL Fantasy longer than NRL and currently you just have to go Salah C most weeks because of EO(Effective Ownership) where he is 200% his score if you don't own let alone C.
Long story short play easy percentages early. If bulk captained player fails you fail with herd. Gamble C picks are for later on if chasing mini league deficit

I dont think haas was the most obvious captain tbh, but the main reason i choose him, in the end, was for a safe captain option (despite putting C on mahoney this week).

Ya know hes good for 55 to 60 almost every week

No but likely reduces his minutes as they get the first string players back.

Haas averaged 1.5 offloads in 2020.. I remember complaining last year about how low they were at 0.4 and Kevvie needs to give his licence back. I thought they were particularly effective after one of his hit-ups, not like AFifita throw and pray shit.

    Strategy question???

How do you work out what someone's break-even?

I want to bring in Grant and Tago next week by either:

    downgrading Mahoney [780 k + 16 k]; or
    upgrading Clark [412 k + 384 k]

    to Grant

and upgrading Thompson [<220 k] or Vailea [<240 k] to Tago [who knows what he rises to]???

Maybe my best bet is to play Clark tomorrow to maximise cash generation over points. Prioritising these trades has got to be more beneficial than the 20 or so points that playing Mahoney might get me in the long run?

I subscribe to Coach and it gives you a rough idea of how much players will increase/decrease. According to Coach projections, Tago will be 369k next week based off his score.

I reckon so too. It is hard to know which gun is the most important to focus on getting in next...

    * Haas the freak
    * Cleary once he has a few weeks of regressing value
    * McInnes as soon as he is back from injury

At this stage, I am thinking of focusing on Haas and Cleary after Origin

Lucky for me I already have Haas (just didn't captain him), so for me priority #1 is Cleary.

Bethany_B wrote:What a shitshow of a round, this one's been my worst in probably 4 seasons, I don't think I've had one this bad since I joined the forum in 2018.

14/556c, with only Ipap, Fifita and Penisini left to play. I knew captaining Cheese was a risk, but nobody could have guessed he'd break his hand within 2 minutes of kickoff, that's just bad luck. The other B Smith wasn't too flash either, I might just sell them both next week for Grant and some other cheapie.

The rest of the team went alright

tough luck! It's hard to get back from that kind of set-back, but not impossible at this stage of the season

I made the mistake of not leaving leftover cash. Do I downgrade Lolo to Fermor so that I can afford to go Billy Smith > Tago next week?

Looks like simpkin is done for awhile. Posting from a member on WT forum..

Simpkin won’t be back for a while, subluxed his shoulder, apparently the same type of injury that Mahoney suffered last year.

Apparently 0.04% of players captained Tyran Wishart this round. And hey, in the end, they did about as well from their captaincy pick as those who chose Turbo.

Damn, was hoping it was just a burner, but thought it might be worse when he kept looking at the trainer
