I think the others are taking offense to you calling Matt wise (which he was at this stage re Ilias) when he made an unwise move (which he has at this stage re CWalk). I think the relationship is not in the groupthink nature of both, but rather that part of the reason Matt went CWalk was because he didn't rate Ilias. So his wiseness was semi-wise?

It's almost like Matt is in the category of "task failed successfully".

Also some people don't like admitting that Matt knows his shit which is a bit sad. I don't think anyone should dispute that, it's just he plays the game differently to us and really goes with his own gut. I rate that, for better or for worse.

If you only picked Ilias because other people did, then you would be the exception.

He is a $300k half playing for a top 6 team. Most people would chuck him in their team independently. He was the 5th most popular player in the community team (after Randall, Papenhuyzen, Burton, Crichton) that doesn't happen with someone people have to be persuaded to buy

And its silly to write him off after 1 game, in which Souths played poorly.

You may be right??? It is always these low price players that get stuck in my team that kill my season - I'll see what happens at the end of the week and reassess then. Again, all I said is that I picked him without being convinced that he has a good call.

I am wondering if one of his missed tackles recorded was the try that Mansour scored? If so that is a little rough

😂 that is like a Scott Morrison apology all ‘I caved in to you morons when I should have gone with my own massive intellect’. Everyone has swapped guys who had big rounds in and out of their teams over the pre season. You put the $300k starting half in because it allowed you to make other choices you wanted more….go on admit it.

(Edit: Reacting to a few pages earlier)

lol I find it funny people when get angry that they took advice and didn't work out like they couldn't decide for themselves.

I posted my team for advice on the Reddit fantasy thread and one of the replies was "I wouldn't have both Crichton and Tago". I disagreed with that. You can ask for advice, you don't have to follow it.

Assuming named to start again Walters in for Ilias will be popular trade I imagine for those that don't have Walters already

Can't really go wrong with either, probably gonna want both by end of the year anyway.

Apparently Roosters have easy first 10 weeks of the draw they been saying around this neck of the woods.

I was not making an apology...

Yeah.. he is in my team because he has cheap. I brought him in for someone who was not quite as cheap on Thursday [Hastings] and upgraded Jaxson Paulo [who I also had reservations about] to Nicholl-Klokstad...

It may work out - who knows? It does not change the fact that personally I did not really want Ilias in my team even if he was cheap.

Laughing Laughing I am sorry if you think it is moronic for me to listen to you Laughing Laughing

An opportunity he would have never expected again. Probably his one and only appearance for the season. Hope he enjoyed a few cold ones post game.

I enjoyed seeing Tyrone Roberts come on. Thought he looked like a little old man. Good on him.

How much do we think Walters will go up by? I think with llias dropping and Walters price increasing it might be close to loss to trade moneywise... plus even Walters is a gamble on JS but it's ok I can just blame the forum if it doesn't work out.
