    Community team voting is completed.

Having a PM with Jele, we decided to put something to a vote before finalising the team

Normally we enforce coverage for every position, but as running a sole hooker is proving popular this season, we'll give the option of running wihout coverage

The confirmed team members are as follows

    Chris Randall
Stefano Utoikamanu, Jason Taumalolo, Kurt Mann
    David Fifita, Jeremiah Nanai
    Toby Sexton, Lachlan Ilias
    Matt Burton, Izack Tago
Ryan Papenhuzen, Nicholas Hynes, Stephen Crichton

    Kelma Tuilagi
    Brad Schneider
    Will Penisini
    Ethan Bullemor
    Andrew Fifita
    Max King
    ???
    ???

    For the last 2 spots
If we enforce hooker coverage we get Erin Clark and James Tedesco as the last 2 players (with $18k in the bank)
If we run the risk of no hookers, we get Payne Haas and Xavier Coates (with $13k in the bank)

Please vote for your preference above. How risky does the community want to be?

Bonus stat. The most popular players not to make the team (other than the losers of the poll)
    Beau Fermor
    Isaiah Papali'i
    Talatau Amone
    Euan Aitken
    Jake Simpkin

    Bonus stat 2
Mahoney was only moderately popular as a gun hooker option, and would have needed multiple extra people ranking him highly in order to make the squad.

    Bonus stat 3
    Tom Trbojevic received 0 votes

We also need to come up with a plan in case Papy is a late out

Any options considered - post suggestions here

On Papenhuyzen - he is one of just 4 WFBs so if we trade him it should be to another WFB

    options are

(if we know about Papy before 3pm Saturday)
    Kalyn Ponga
    Paul Momirovski
    Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad
    Jaxon Paulo

    If we only know late
    Xavier Coates
    Hamiso Tabui Fidow
    Danid Nofoaluma
    Sean Russell
    Jayden Campbell

Not many of these are tempting
I'd almost just go for Coates (if he isn't in team already), get a bankroll so that Papy can be brought in more easily next week if he is fit.

Having thought about it. If Papy is out, I think we bring in Coates (looks like Teddy/Clark will win the poll at this point) and leave it at that

Gives us enough cash that we can potentially bring Papy back in using just 1 trade for Coates/Penisini/Tago/Bullemor

And if Papy misses more games we have a decent bankroll for round 2 anyway.

If Teddy wins poll you can have round 1 back three of Hynes, Teddy, Crichton. Put Papy in 17 and use him to loop if he's out, which seems like it will be for one round if that. Seems more appetising than bringing in a player you don't really want and won't be in your scoring 17 then spending a trade on bringing Pap in in  a week or two.

Probably a good idea @rhinoceroo I am just scarred by holding on to Pappy too long last year when his time out just kept getting longer and longer

Yes, have that dilemma in my own team having also faced that experience last year. At least it's not a head injury this time.

But doing it for one round allows you to eg. loop Tago with Ilias as opposed to having to take Coates' score (which might be huge vs Tigers, but that's irrelevant to the process...)

Team would be something like (depending on votes):

    Randall,
    Stefano, Lolo, Mann
    Difita, Nanai
    Sexton, Schneider
    Burton, Penisini
    Ted, Hynes, Crichton

    Clark, Bullemor, Tuilagi (Pap loop)
(Tago loop) (Ilias loop) AFifi, MKing

Interesting to see A. Fifita in  the team. McInnes be back round 3 and Fifita might not be in the 17.

Thanks Milchy, vote is in.  I agree with Rhinoceroo on holding Papy if he's out.

    Good looking team, well done.
