He might get penalised a couple of times, then all the commentators/media will have a massive whinge about how the game is a penalty-a-thon ruined by arrogant refs who love the sound of their own whistle.

Then we'll go back to ignoring everything by round 3 and it will be gone but not forgotten, like the 'downtown' rule, being offside at dropouts and whatever other crackdowns we've had over the last couple seasons.

No, we're owed a 2010 GF birth for Jeremy Smith putting knees in the back in the tackle (within kicking distance). Missed by the refs but charged by the match review committee

My parramatta supporting friends are telling me that Moera will start at lock all year, with Watmough replacing him off the bench. Ma'u will be the 80 minute second rower, and Kenny Edwards is almost forcing his way into the team just based on effort.

Also adding to that, I'm hearing Watmough is one more injury away from retirement

All this Moeroa talk is deja vue as didn't we all pump him up last year. In saying that last year he was carrying his shoulder injury that he never really recovered from & also he was in the 2nd row. This year he will start at lock & at 299k he's would be a great pick up based on his trial form but he has to be injury free.

Hmmmm well if Brock Gray or Nathan Brown get a bench spot they could be worth a look at.

Ma'u was an 80 minute player last year & it is a dead cert he'll do the same with Scott, Watmough & Moeroa there.

Grevsmuhl will be the real winner here if he's in the front row rotation

Ma'u was only subbed 5 times last year. 1 of those was for injury, 3 of the remaining 4 he played over 70 minutes.

So unless you think Ma'u will improve his stats somehow there isn't much value there.

Can't remember who it was on. But it was 5th tackle, and we had a couple of minutes to plan our next move whilst he got treatment.

When play finally resumed we gave it to Benji who kicked it straight out, or something equally useless.

Okay guys, so generally speaking we would always spend all our cash we can.

However with Price Changes beginning from Round 1, how much cash should you save just in case to jump on cash cows you may have missed.

So how much cash do you guys have in the bank now and how much would be the ideal amount to save.

All my value is in the front row. With someone like Ma'u I like him from a points perspective as he plays big minutes & being on the edge with Foran, Jennings & Radradra he could increase his attacking points. Defenses will be so focused on the attacking threat posed by Jennings & Radradra they won't be expecting Ma'u bursting onto a short ball from Foran.

Woods averaged 55 leading up to origin last year.

Had a couple of injuries post origin that saw his priced average drop to 49.
Had 3 consecutive scores of 3, 37, 22 where he got injured and then saw limited  minutes returning from it. Ignore those 3 and his average is 55 for the year.

So all he has to do is not get injured and you will get value out of him. He doesn't need to improve on last year per se. Just maintain what he was putting up before injury.
Not massive value - but there aren't many people at that level who are hugely underpriced.

I'll probably trade him out for origin, but he is almost certainly in my team

Other option is James Graham who is also slightly underpriced when you take injury into account. But given he is already under injury cloud for this year I think I might pass to start with.

Josh McGuire is same price as James Graham. Out of 3 broncos props he will play the most mins. He doesn't get many tackle busts or offloads, but reliable base stats. How do you feel about him Milchy? Comparable pick to woods, or woods more upside?

atm I have 45k on hand. Some people prefer spending it & others want a bit of cash on hand. I usually spend it all but will go the other option this year as it saves a trade.
