Neither am I. I don’t think he’s ever been fantasy relevant. I don’t know if he can keep up with the pace of the NRL now either as it’s faster than when he last played.

I wouldn’t expect him to play more than 25mins.

Gurgess is just in as i dont see too many viable options around his price. Its unlikely he makes my final team as when the cheapies reveal themselves he will slide well down the pecking order. For the moment though, he is in

Gurgess was a fantasy beast back in the day, but that was a long time ago!

I don't think Gurgess is anywhere near the best 17, I'd put him closer to 35 minutes over the season than 35 mins per game.

Hard to see him coming back from his surgery. AFAIK the only other professional athlete to play again after this kind of operation is Andy Murray. And he's playing part-time and winning about 50%.

Gorgeous George is more likely to be stepping into a ring with Paul Gallen than stepping onto a footy field come end of season

Better options than Gurgess in that price range include:

    Leniu
    JTB
    Hetherington
    Walker
    Bullemor
    King
    Playing with 16
    Easy E
    Hamlin-Uele
    Red dot for looping
    Suluka-Fifita
Asking White Lightning to lace up boots
    Moale
    Turgess

They both might be a bit over priced but it's hard to turn down the consistency that Burton and Aitken will offer at centre.

I'll either go super cheap with 2 or 3 of Penisini, Panthers centre, Crichton, Croker or lock in 40+ scores for the year with Burton and Aitken.

While I don't expect Dogs to immediately click and start scoring points like the Panthers were, Burton should still get a decent share of kick metres, run metres and tackles + the odd attacking stats.

I think I’m likely to start with Burton at centre and then a cheapie for my other centre spot. Pap at WFB too.

I'll wait and see how Burton goes, new club and all that.
Reduced points for kick meters doesn't help either.

Having a set and forget centre is what’s luring me in having wasted lots of trades on centres the last couple of years.

    S. Crichton and Tago and potentially Jaxson Paulo could be other options too

It's the year of the bargain ctrs. My emg's are totally occupied by ctrs (S. Crichton, T. May, Tass, B. Smith) & have 2 cheap starting ctrs (Tago, Penesini)...too much value there for me to put the higher priced options in. I've got Sexton instead of Burton, Aitken, Bird around that price point as imo he'll outscore those 3, he's got a great early draw where he should get plenty of points.

Yeah you need the bargains to be able to afford Cleary and still have a balanced team

    Toby Rudolf has just retired!
    He's taking up surfing

Should be a new cheapie at Cronulla to pick up the minutes.
    Maybe Hamlin-Uele or Talaki?

Seems like something completely out of the blue to quote. What’s the source, can’t see anything on Twitter/nrl/sharks sites
