Hey everyone, first time playing with Bye's - so have just realised how screwed i am

I have 17 trades left before any changes, is the goal to get as close to 13 on field as possible? Or just accept defeat and not try.

Current thoughts are Simmonsen, Schuster & Starling to Macca, Burton & Blore

This leaves me with 12 playing, and only 14 trades - thoughts??

Team lists didn't go exactly how I wanted so need to grab a cheap EDGE or WFB. Think I'll go Ramsay for job security and pray for some upside. Slight pivot with Schuster going instead of CHN

Crichton, Turbo, Schuster, Simpkin out for Hunt, McCullough, Mahoney and Ramsey. 3 captaincy tier guns and a young talent with upside

300k left for next week to grab 2 more guns

EDIT: Koroisau as 18th man leaves me 1 short of where I wanted to be. 15 for me this week

What are Starling owners doing this round? I have the dough to turn him into Macca/Mahoney/iPap, which would give me 14 for the round. Would be a massive slap in the face if you trade him and he gets the starting spot back if the 'Hodgson on the outer' rumours are to be believed.

Was the plan to always trade out Schuster even though he's a 50 average DPP who's likely back next week?

I'm going to give him a few rounds, at least until 17. Some uncertainty around Hodgson's future. They were smashed by the roosters last week, which can bring change. The Raiders might have rested him a little bit with that ankle injury. Hodgson was very good against the Roosters though, but they might even put him in the halves as well, playing a sort of Connor Watson role. It also looked quite good when they were both on the field against the Dogs.

Going all out would include trading Papy/Tino to Hunt/Macca to my current trades giving me 15 players and 15 trades remaining

I’d love to go that way but would mean I’d need to go for someone 274k or less instead of May.

Options in that price range are very slim when it comes to the first bye. Suaalii is an option looking forward past the bye and giving me some Teddy security

I’m holding in the hope that he goes back to starting.
Whether that be due to Hodgson moving on, or playing in the halves or at lock/edge, I’ll take it.
Last year Starling got me to my best ever finish and I’m hoping he can repeat the dose this year.
