one trade Papy->Hynes for me. Notwithstanding Walker and Simpkin's likely cash loss, I like the idea of banking a trade and building some cash for one of Koro, Mahoney, TPJ, Leilua etc once confirmed if they are playing round 13.

Ignore the vote for 2 trades, that should be 1, forgot to change it after seeing Simpkin -> Leilua wasn't possible

I voted for Walker/Simpkin to Hynes/Lewis*

*I probably prefer A.Kelly to Lewis, but the idea's the same.

With a straight up 17 (unless Simpkin somehow gets elevated to the starting line-up) and a fixed captain (at least for this week), I can't see any further decisions to make, unless there are any late outs...  I'll switch Harris and Alvaro, so at least we've got some edg cover on the bench if we need to make any late changes.

Do we want a backup 2nd trade if Alvaro is demoted to 18th man again? or just run with 16 for the week.

I don't mind Alvaro to Luciano if that happens. Simpkin making the bench probably wouldn't help much either.

Alvaro up to 661k. Brooks, Yeo, Luciano, BHunt etc.

Simpkin up to 612k. No one really jumping out. Mofo probably plays origin, but him on down.

Broncs, Storm, Cows and Warriors will be locked, so Albert Kelly and Chris Lewis would be locked unless hearing ahead of time.

I wouldn't mind trading Alvaro or Simpkin to get to 17 if required

There's some chance that they might be available next week, but even then they are not long term holds, and we can probably get more points ditching them this week.

You can use your judgement Jele if you want

Or given that a bunch from the forum will be together at the meetup come final teams tomorrow, we can have a live-discussion about potential trades (just hope that we aren't too many cans in if it comes to it)

Yeah a lot of those guys in contention, particularly if there's more carnage this week. If Grant's fit, then BHunt at 14 is the only way Mahoney misses out I guess, but could be 18th man? I'd probably go Mahoney if not for that, but Foggy seems pretty safe otherwise.

cheers lads, Walker->Fog makes a lot of sense to me.  Mahoney would be my choice all things being equal but I'd say Origin selection is too much of a risk...
