I think only if the guy is substantially falling/reducing height last second, that would be a substantial mitigating factor, but just because he was running full speed why would the refs/NRL treat it any differently to a high tackle in the defensive line. If they want to protect players and discourage high contact they will be doing it based on the contact regardless

Guys in a defensive line often have no option other than an upper body tackle (giving rise to more head high contact due to innacuracy/fatigue/laziness etc). Cover tackling can be made on literally the entire body. I 100% agree with Gordon Tallis who commented this, and the bloke (Hiroti?) tackling Ramsey could have made any number of tackles but instead chose a very high risk swinging arm which ended up collecting the head. It was a pathetic attempt at a tackle and should have 100% been a sin-bin, and it's not even close.

Maybe trying to keep him humble.

Walsh was doing a big swan dive and the finger guns but his poor clean up effort which led to Garner's first try could have been very costly to the final result.

Yeah thought so. Probs just a media stunt, did have a couple poor defensive plays but fmd he played an amazing game

Why wasn’t that a line break for Ramsey?

Are people using Leniu to loop? Little bit of risk there with him in the reserves?

If I want Laurie's score I have to take that risk but could just play Walker instead

Hahaha fair point re: Gordy. All good mate thought you were advocating for no sin-bin. I agree it is complicated, but still, at least Hiroti had options to go low and chose not to.

I reckon just go Walker. We've seen he can hit the 70+ highs, and at most you're risking him going mid 30s and lose 10 points.
