Original plan was Tohu + Peachey for Fifita + Momo.

But currently have Matterson + Starling in (for Fifita + Cini. Holding Momo for a week)

First option gives me 2 season keepers.

2nd option gives me 1 guy who is hopefully a season keeper, and 1 guy who is going to be a brilliant trade or a bust (2nd option also sees me with 16 this week unless Momo is a late in, but does leave me with more money)

if I bring in Starling it will be for Cini who plays Friday night

so by 12pm Saturday I could be locked in and encouraging all you meetup boys to go to the stars with me,

Will be Cini for me too, but also getting cold feet. Could go Leniu but I'd like to keep him to see where he fits if at all in round 13.

If we find out Walker will play, might hold off, save a trade and just run Walker and Simo.

I think I'll shovel out Leniu for Curran - forget the R13 50 points and take 150k in cash gen, then boosting after R17

I think I'll pass on Haas & Starling to bulk up my round 13 players (I have 13 atm incl. Roberts, Alvaro, Simpkin & Utoi) but it's between Matterson, L. Leilua, Koroisau, McCullough & Fogarty in which 2 I buy & I can just see me buying 2 of those & they score 50-60 points while Haas & Starling both go 70 plus lol. But it ain't just about points it's about trades & it's probably better focussing on round 13 & making trades aimed at that round.

Trading in Turbo and Starling feels wrong (both Rd13 byes) but I need a WFB and Tom's still on the up pricewise, and I need some cash generation having sat on red dots for weeks to save trades.

Geez I'm fickle the mentioned of Starling & cash generation which is a real bonus has me wavering lol. Maybe I'll bring in 1 rd 13 player & Starling lol.

Quality plan until the time comes and you have $0 in the bank and problems everywhere. Let’s say I trade fifita for tohu, I’m not going to be trading tohu straight back out to Fifita

Those going hard at byes for the first time be aware you might not end up with the team you want for the run home. This might mean running without the likes of Fifita, Papy, Crichton, Turbo if you trade them out in the next few weeks

Of course some of the alternatives like Tohu, RTS, Taumalolo can and will match them on their day, but you better have a big couch to hide behind

Is it correct in saying Fifita may end up costing 3 trades. 1 out this week and potentially 2 to get him back in if need to generate funds ? Worth it ?

Anybody else dealing with both Fifita and Ponga out? Holding one or neither?

Depends if you spend the money or not.

Cows will need to be milked regardless. Rnd 13 non keepers will become other new cows. Etc

What are Matterson's Origin chances realistically?

This article has me a little spooked:

The Roosters have adopted an extra-cautious approach around his return and Fittler, discussing the make-up of his Origin I side at a media conference at NSWRL headquarters on Wednesday, said Cordner would not be considered for selection later in the series.

The likes of Parramatta pair Ryan Matterson and Shaun Lane
, Panthers forward Liam Martin and Sharks veteran Wade Graham appear the next available options for the Blues coach.

    https://www.nrl.com/news/2021/05/12/cordner-to-miss-entire-origin-series-with-eels-duo-in-line-for-debut/

I guess there's no 'safe' option in that price range who's no chance of playing Origin, unless I want to jump on the Lolo express or get Macca.

Ponga out this week, reassess next week if Fifita out is necessary or not.

Had both, traded both to matto and hass I also have angus and the funds made off these trades will go towards upgrading him next week. I can't justify having that much on the pine and semi glad I got the nudge to get rid of ponga tbh he made me very nervous after the knights form slump.

The problem with the round 13 players I don't have yet are they're usually 50-60 point players:
Matterson (b/e 59)- historically a 55-60 point player who sometimes goes big like last week
    McCullough (b/e 64) - last 4 rounds hasn't hit 60
    L. Leilua (b/e 59) - only scored 60+ in 2 rounds & last 3 rounds 53, 47, 57
Koroisau (b/e 75) - he can wait with that b/e
Fogarty (b/e 28) - has been scoring very well the last 5 rounds 66, 32, 65, 62, 69 but the 32 is an example of sometimes he has a bad game but he's been outscoring the other 4. But I can't see him scoring that well vs the Panthers & I feel another 30 point game

The last 2 rounds I've gone for round 13 players bringing me up to 13 so maybe I can relax knowing I have plenty round 13 players atm & bring in 2 players like Haas & Starling who I know will definitely bring home the points.

Magic round is not seeming so magic with all these big ticket attractions pulling out of going, they know it’s not city-country right? These games actually are worth points.
