From what I've read the judge has told them to continue deliberating to see if they can come to unanimous decision and has said a "Majority" decision is still acceptable (if only one person is against the rest of the group then the rest of the group's decision will be allowed).

Yeah it wasn't malicious, but it was also pretty clearly a high shot. Don't see how you can be handing out 2-3 weeks for every accidental crusher but say that accident is ok.

The whole judiciary is a bloody shambles and has been for years - the crusher tackle and shoulder charge weighting's are just so severe.

To be deemed worse than kicking or striking (which are both intentional acts) is just so out of whack.

Particularly when blokes are bracing themselves and then being pinged for a shoulder charge or when blokes are playing for a crusher tackle penalty (because then you don't have to go off for a HIA).

As for careless high tackle's (and also Fifita's chances), it's already pretty hard to define the difference between careless and reckless, so how can you possibly have 3 different gradings for a careless tackle?
Surely a grade 3 careless is bad enough to be reckless......or striking.......or intentional.

Yeah it's weird. I don't really have an issue with the shoulder charge and crusher penalties, but it's hard to reconcile with someone like JWH with 38 priors getting 0-1 week every time. Or players only getting fines for deliberate tripping/striking.

The judiciary is a bit like the American legal system

I started the fantasy season avoiding all the carnage, now it's like yeah cop this without the lube. Slightly eased with getting 100k profit from Ramien. 

Aside from that, I don't wanna hear Dugan being re-signed. Retire already.

So with this on Ramien, and Momo a big 50/50, I could be looking at a double trade this week. Two centres out, doesn't have to be two back in as I have May (hopefully).

The jury came back 1-2 hrs ago. Not guilty for anal rape because both parties admitted he slipped and hung on other 5 counts. DPP has until 28th to decide if the try him a 3rd time or throw it out.  You would have to think in a system of innocent until proven guilty its time for the DPP to stop wasting our money.

Could be back round 13 just in time for bye coverage.

Important to note fifita was charged with grade 2 careless. He isn't seeking to get off he is seeking a downgrade which will just be a fine.

It certainly hit him high but it was more a slap then anything else. Not sure how it warranted a grade 2. I reckon he will get it downgraded.

Oh shit yeah okay that makes it even better for his chances getting off, good post. Surely he could get that downgraded to a grade 1. At first I thought it was dumb to contest it, but seeing that he's only seeking a downgrade makes me much more hopeful.

What is the actual designation for grade1 or 2? Because to me, he's hit him high and he intended to do it because he reached back to stop him going through?

regardless of the force its a direct action to the head
