Yeah, but at some point Brooks is going to go boom 💥 - when he takes control of the team - which he has said he will do... at some point... to be determined... which may be after he retires... and becomes another quality Tiger's coaching appointment

It was when he was playing for Newcastle and had had something like 4-6 50+ scores in a row so I got him in as a kind of a POD keeper and he scored 30s the rest of the year. I will never trust him again after breaking my heart like that.

    Agree.
I could be wrong, but his game yesterday was not within his normal 'range' - more likely he got up for the Knights game (facing his old team etc.).
He burned me in the past as well, so it's a big NO for mine.
I'm more interested in either Haas (assuming no Origin), I.Pap or Tino (in that order).

Remember when the Bulldogs told Thurston you're too little & skinny to make it in the nrl so he went to the Cowboys & the rest is history. Another Bulldogs brilliant player retention strategy.

Yeah, but your management bought Hetho, and Napa, and Stimson, and paid a shit-load of $ for Foran (post break-down), and Lachlan Lewis has the same name as an Immortal so he must be the next big shiny thing ... you get my point.
I honestly feel for the Doggies fanbase, must be almost as painful as being a Knights tragic.

Edit: I'm still salty after yesterday's bruising at the hands of the Saints. Twisted Evil

DCE copes a lot, he’s been a great player and that era when he and Foran were young is not something to forget. He’s a bit smug and the backflip got a lot of people offside from him.

Opening up a bit of a discussion or debate:

I don't hear too many people or pundits kicking up a huge stink this weekend about the elbow/forearm to the head Walker put on earlier in the round. Two weekends ago people were calling for Kaufusi to be burnt at the stake for a similar "below the belt" shot. Am I wrong, if Walker pleads guilty he gets 1 week? Same as an early guilty plea for an accidental crusher tackle?

Funny how things like this seem to blow up bigger when Melbouren or the Roosters players are involved.

Disclosure: not Roosters or Storm fan.

I was at that Premiership, cheering for the warriors NRL Fantasy 2021 Part 28 - Dammit Tino! - Page 40 1f60e

I thought NZ would win that game too, their second half defence to hold out Melbourne in the semi was still one of the best defence displays I’ve seen outside Origin. Sadly, that side didn’t turn up on the day and Manly were terrific.

Won free tickets, all expenses paid weekend in Sydney for me and three mates in a radio contest.
This isn’t a how big is my pool moment, this is
    A) The coolest thing I have ever won, I never win shit I enter.
    B) A great pain as a staunch South Sydney fan, that the very first grand final I ever went to was a Manly premiership Vomit . Manly would have wanted it this way.

Another Souths fan here whose first grand final was a Manly win - over Canberra at the SCG in 1987 Shocked

Yeah this is a fair point to be honest mate. Walker is a grub and we all know that, I suppose the only reason people didn't blow it up is because Meaney wasn't concussed by it or anything, it was just a cheap dog shot. But yeah I do agree they both should be spoken about, especially Walker's whose was 100% deliberate and was done whilst the bloke was helpless on the ground...

DCE is one of my favourite players in the league.

One of the rare players who speaks with some eloquence and his smugness is very entertaining. Take his Origin winning speech from last year. Even as a NSW fan I had to laugh when he said on behalf of the worst ever QLD team, thank you very much!

Sport needs characters and DCE the smug bastard with a shit eating grin makes for a good villain.
