The only identifiable transition from mid to gun last year came on the back of Isaah Yeo moving from the edge to middle, which in turn upped his tackle counts and saw some solid attacking stats. In the past we have seen the same change with Simon Mannering and Matt Gillett result in bulk fantasy points, with a similar profile to Jackson (previous star edge with great defensive skills moving to the middle as they age) As we all known, the Bulldogs are planning the same with Josh Jackson this year. So why no love?

Hasn't he been playing a lot of lock in recent years, but just likes being named in #11?

Especially as he seems a fair chance of having an injury affected 10 pointer at some point (hope he doesn't, but the last 3 years suggests he may)

Has always done a bit of defensive work in the middle and at times during origin played some lock, but during his time at the Dogs he has primarily been an edge player

Been mooted playing 80 straight off the bat, if he stays in the middle he will smash 50, not much better than a tackle breaking, high motor lock. He’s Jazz 2.0

Watson is one that literally needs no analysis. The way he plays is fantasy gold. Just needs to stay fit..

Agreed. If he’s playing 65/80 he’s fit and needs no time to re adjust. Not like he’s been injured then thrown straight into a game, full pre-season he’s good to go

Even if his attacking game starts slows he’s making 45 tackles and 100+ RM

Not sure if this has been talked about but should help Tigers starting hooker and Laurie.

Should certainly lock Laurie into everyone's team. Looks good enough for a spot in your 13 for decent scoring at a heavily discounted price. Makes Simpkin a no go unfortunately.

Unless a base price starter like Young is named, are most people forgoing centre coverage? Avo could be coverage but if he's in the halves you have to play him.

He will get DPP (as long as he is named ctr in round 1) though, the fantasy nerds confirmed that.

Ah sweet. I didn't know that. Hopefully that solves it.
