Not the same level of hype, but Matt Ikuvalu played for one of our local rival schools. Part of his juniors contract was that he couldn't play in school carnivals. At one point he played under a fake name and got sent off for a shoulder charge. From what I remember, Manly didn't like that too much

Didn't Hopoate get busted playing 4th grade Union under a fake name at one point too.

Couple of years ago Esan Marsters was playing in our local oztag comp. He missed the 2nd half of the oztag season because he had to fly to England to play for New Zealand (slacker preferred to represent his country rather than play social oztag)
