Dream Team Virtual Sports Sports Deck 2016

Welcome back all  .

Wrapped that the comp is back after thinking 2015 would be their final year.  With the move to Sports Deck, they are looking at a bit of revenue through the cash comp avenue.  Probably won't be involved in that side of it, but if it keeps the comp going then that's great.

I have the 2015 VSDT ranks for our Sportal leagues, so anyone who was in there doesn't need proof if joining a league in 2016.  I believe the 2015 rankings are still up as well, so anyone thinking about joining a league that wasn't in one last year, might want to grab a screenshot.  If not you will more than likely be placed in a newcomers league.

Please refresh my memory on how to do a screenshot for the rankings evidence. I save the whole page (supposedly) by right clicking etc but the only thing it does'nt save is the rankings line !!!! Obviously wiped out a few grey cells over New Year (no, I was'nt at the do with Pearce etc ).

If you download Gyazo it lets you select a region and then automatically uploads your picture.

Gday Wiz.  This forum is littered with jokes at my expense about my pic posting (dis)ability.  Some of it cruel, all of it warranted   .  Tombsy got you through the last few years on the VSDT threads.  You didn't join the VS league last year did you?  I have all of those rankings, but I think from memory you gave our Leagues a miss.  

PM your rank if you want if you can't get the pic uploaded and we will work it out from there.

Feb 2nd, still have'nt seen anything from Sportsdeck.com Same 'stuff up' from last year with VSDT. No wonder their player numbers suck in comparison to other fantasy comps.

Thinking of giving it a miss this year in favour of Supercoach

They are saying tomorrow now.  Wiz, they opened before Fantasy last year mate, by nearly a week from memory.

Any particular reason? I'm going to have a team in an extra comp and was going to go VSDT as its closer to fantasy than Supercoach.

I'm guessing prizes. As in, SC is the only comp that has decent ones

I actually do better in VSDT than Fantasy - mates play Supercoach and I don't want to run 3 sides.

I see Varnsen just signed up; for those who don't know, that is last year's Overall winner.  Good to have you here  and well done on the win!  Milchcow won the Eliminator, and not sure if you are aware but Phil Gould's Chins won Fantasy Overall.

Are they doing an NRL one this year? Have only seen them promote AFL

Yep, they've decided to open the AFL one first.  They've been pretty apologetic about it.  No fixed date I don't think yet.

Guns and cows will be hard to pull off, because most of the cash cows from Fantasy are priced some way above the minimum, and Gutherson is inexplicably $311k. Unless there's a big batch of debutants in Round 1 it might bring mid-priced players into the game.

Fortunately there are a lot of appealing players in the mid-range because the DT format just crucifies players for errors and missed tackles and penalties. I'll post up a first draft shortly.
