Cleary said it in his presser. He said they have to look after him though and have a short turn around. Didn't say either way but sounded like he'll get a rest.

Good week for me avoiding most of the carnage - 861 with DCE, AFB, Papy and Croker to come

Cowboys rotation once Morgan went down didn't really make sense. Lose your starting halfback so you move your 5/8 to centre, your centre to wing, your winger to fullback, your fullback to halves. Seems like a lot of moving around for not a lot of success - a salty Asi owner

Hard to say on Koro. I believe they said they'd give him this week off and re-assess next week. Think NRLPhysio said 1-3 weeks for those injuries, but usually on the earlier side.

Kikau was suspended for a game, so should be back next week.

Kenny went well at 9, steady enough, but he's no koro. Will koro need a back up, maybe coming back from injury but surely no need to carry a back up 9 further down the line. Have they carried a 9 majority of season, or used a May type utility instead.

Fuck me. Was having a good night until I looked at Talau's score. All day long I had this niggling voice in the back of my head saying, "Hey... Dickhead. Hey, yep. You. You dopey fuck. You going to swap Talau out of your centres and put McIntyre in there - you slab of excrement?"

He's a bit harsh, the voice in my head, but jeez he was right. My $$ H2H is well and truly wrapped up anyway, but it's irritating when you're playing 17 players to someone's 16 and you get brought down to 16 vs 16 because of a Talau in your team.

Anyway, solid weekend but that is a little pin in my eyeball.

Missed out of Captain Teddy, but I'd be lying if I said I was bummed with Captain Cleary.

Happy with Pearce's score in a well beaten side.

I believe I heard Yeo actually passed his HIA test. And I believe he has a HIA history? Hope the big fella's okay to go next week. I do love to see those big Mr Tickle arms in action on the weekend.

On the Panthers & potential rest for players someone posted last week that Ivan Cleary said he won't be resting players because they've lessened the workload at training.

Does the immediate physical response correlate to the concussion test outcome? I don’t actually know, but wouldn’t surprise me if you’re wobbly but can pass the test minutes later. Wouldn’t assume that it looks bad that it is bad. it often seems like the innocuous ones lead to the worst and longest lasting effects.

The weird one to me was Ramien, passed the test but couldn't see properly. You would have thought that a concussion test would include testing your vision.

Looking through some teams, thinking maybe par is in the 950 range this week.

A weird mix of some huge scores if you have Tedesco, Cleary, RTS, Reynolds balanced out with generally low center scores, which if you had 2 x 30s you were happy (Lomax and Crichton), but could have been caught with some real shitter scores there instead (Ramien, Talau, Farnworth), but if lucky enough to have Peachey's 66 you made up ground. Overall there seems to be a large range of total scores possible, with higher variance than usual.

Talau down to 0, and yeo down to 35.
850 with papy and starling to go. Had no prop cover so playing with 16,however with Talau scoring zilch, pretty much a 15 player score. Had Mcintyre as 18th,toss of coin didn't work out this time.

Ramien made it up to 3 in the updates. That looks a lot better than -2 Razz

896 with Papy and Doorey to play.

Considering I had to play 16 including Doorey and Randall, I'm pretty happy with that.

Maybe Yeo is that experienced at the concussion test he knows what is coming

Stumbling of a player/falling to ground without protecting themselves means they're meant to automatically sit out the rest of the game

697 with CS9 (c), Papenhuyzen, Bateman and Starling left

CS9 going to need to do something special to match Cleary I think. Will probably fall just short of the 1000

Been a little while since I've managed to string it all together with ranking hovering around the same for about 6 weeks.

Just thought I'd save my best for my number 1 forum rival. Your lads aren't going too bad either you should be well over 950 this week

On track for my worst score since round 7, 664 with 4 to play. This round will put an end to my late season run, that's the way the 🍪 crumbles I guess. This is my 4th season, this time last yeah I was fighting it out in the top 100 before eventually bundling out in the last few rounds. So being outside the 1000 and now losing ground things have not gone to plan. Question for you guys who have been playing for awhile, do you improve year on year and end up roughly within a similar range or do you yoyo a bit each season? Regardless of where I end up, this season has been a bit of fun chasing the pack and not worrying about losing rank, until today that is 😁.

I know by about round 5 where I'm going to end up in the grand scheme of things. Some years I put it all together, get a bit of luck and finish in the top 100. Some years everything goes wrong, I'm chasing my tail and end up 2-3k. Most years I get a mix of both and end up in the top 1000

My biggest piece of advice is to try and zig when other zag. Every single week there will be a "must have" cash cow, you can't have all of them. Work out what your squad needs and try to target areas others don't. Normally there is 1-2 bye rounds that most ignore because the players aren't as good as they want, or it's too hard to make work with squad balance. These are the ones I throw everything at and try to make big ground
