I think I'm settled in bringing in Taupau for Lolo this week. It means I can go Butcher to Haas in a single trade next week which would then leave me with the following for the run home with 3 trades left.

    Cook
    Haas MoFo
    McInnes Carrigan Yeo
    Cleary DCE
    Manu Crichton
    Teddy Ponga Papy

    Taupau Fogarty RTS Starling

    Sironen Randall HTF Niu

Plan would then be to upgrade/cashout Starling/Sironen with 2 rounds to go and have 1 trade left for injury going into the final round.

    Seems fool proof, right?

What are you expecting from Taupau for the last few weeks? Just doesn't seem to be hitting those consistent highs this year.

I really want to sell HTF and keep Randall on the the off chance the latter makes an appearance through injury

I have both, unless the injury is to Mann, I expect HTF to get a run and Randall not to the rest of the season.

Its more his price point than anything else allowing me to upgrade Butcher in 1 trade next week.
Do you think there is anyone else that might be a cheaper FRF that's final 17 worthy?

Luxury trade (trading fit player still scoring well): 3 trades

Would be interesting to see the reasoning in comparison to previous years hey

Ponga Yeo the Mann wrote:7 red dots this week despite holding sione, grant and koroisau of late. Horrible season for injuries for me as for most. Has taken a fair bit of the fun out of it tbh but plenty worse off than me I’m sure

Trading lolo and playing with 15 this week leaving me with 1 trade and hoping haas mofo Koro and maybe even sione can make an appearance soon

As a knights fan and a Pearce, ponga owner I’m sad Lino is starting. Not good enough. Play Mann or pheonix there and give Randall the bench hooker spot. O’Brien has done a lot right this year but his handling of Randall will mean people in our reserves are likely to want to move on as they don’t get given chances even 4-5 injuries deep
One could argue that he is giving Mason Lino a chance and can use the 4-5 injuries deep argument with Lino as well.

I would give benefit of doubt to the coach in this instance.

After Ponga's pitiful display he will have chosen a goal kicker that he is ok with playing on the field.

    JFH?

Fair call on Marty due to the price point though if it allows Haas.

    Serious answer on Taupau.

I think there are better options in isolation.

But Taupau + whoever he let's you afford may be better than an upgrade on Taupau that downgrades elsewhere.

So just consider the trades as a whole and see what looks better

Nek Minnit Lino/Crossland go down ... Hex Toy up next before Randall. Barnet played a bit of five-eighth too

Wow a lot of forced trades. Don’t think I’ve had that many.

I’m going to do this in my team tracker thread when I’m down to zero... likely next week lol. My sense is I started with a bad starting squad, made some good trades to catch up, then have lost discipline with bad and luxury trades. Will see.

Round 15 will throw up another season ending injury so you will be able to keep both

First week I’ve had no clear idea on captain.

R1-2 went Smith (no Haas), R3-12 Haas, R13 McInnes when he started hooker again, R14 back to Haas, R15 had a feeling on Cook

This week... Won’t do Cook again. Definitely prefer Hunt > McInnes. But also considering Cleary, Carrigan, Smith.

    Taupau doesn't give me that many good options. It's either something like;

    Taupau + Mitchell/Niko

    Or

    Matto + Wallace/Offa

Still undecided on Twal or Klemmer but it's looking like I'm going to be deciding between Offa and Wallace. Yucko.
