BJ Leilua left the bubble for family reasons and was allowed to return straight away. Hopefully they do the same for Haas.

But BJ came back like within a day or something? You'd think Haas would be gone a bit longer than that.

I know Barnett's history re his inconsistency/injuries but his last 4 games he's averaged 62 with scores of 76, 56, 45 & 71 which has coincided with him at starting lock. In his 3 previous games this year 2 were at 2fr in rounds 1 & 2 then in round 10 he started off the bench. He seems hungry for work at lock & he's into everything. The last time he played lock was in 2018.
However for team balance I could go Fotuaka instead of Barnett for frf backup & Fotuaka has averaged  50 in his last 4 games, mind you this week he's starting at lock & the bench suggests he'll get around 60 mins this week.
So I'll ask the question who would you buy:
    (a) Barnett or
    (b) Fotuaika or
    (c) JFH

    Thoughts & thanks.

Edit - I forgot the boom/bust option of JFH who has been pretty average of late

Go with your gut mate. Mofo should be a 50 point scorer again with Arrow out, but Barnett seems to have a higher ceiling. JFH is very up and down but can post big scores. He may just be the favour due to the DPP.

3 trades left young -> josh jackson otherwise if i trade haas can go to fifita and barnett but not too keen on only one trade left and wont have frf cover

also at this point its looking like h2h should be the focus

I'd go with the known quantity of Mofo or JFH. Knights have copped injuries the last 4 games which meant extra minutes somewhere in the pack, hard to tell if they went to Barnett

EDIT: Barnett seems like one of those guys that could be scoring 30s in a few weeks and leaving everyone wondering why they own him

Team as it stands for this week

    CM9 (c)
    Taupau Carrigan
    Lolo Jurbo Tevaga
    DCE Moses
    Lomax Mitchell
    Teddy Ponga Pap

    Fogarty Mofo Siro Randall

    Talau HTF Fui Haas

    4 trades, 37k

    Options as I see it:

    (a) Haas to Hunt: 6 weeks of 70s from Hunt = 420. A very generous 4 x 80 from Haas and 2 x 30 from Talau is 380. Even if Hunt goes 6 x 65 it's still 390. Also leaves me ~$160K for Talau to a better 17th man. Added bonus of Hunt to HOK, CM9 to bench for 2RF cover.

    (b) Randall to Wallace/Ofa: clears out a long-term red dot which could be important this season, for a potentially serviceable 17th man

    (c) Talau to Hopoate: a decent upgrade with the ability to loop Hopo and Siro/Fui as 17th man once Haas is back.

    (d) Hold the trade, you already have 18 fit players.

Thoughts please? I'm warming on Haas to Hunt.

Only 2 trades left, so this would be a hard one to leave me with just 1 trade

Don't do it, Milchy! 2 trades just isn't enough.

    A. I think Hunt is almost a must have playing hooker.

If it were to leave him with 2 trades, then I'd probably do it. Leaving with 1 trade, yeah, that's playing with fire.

If Haas will miss more than 2 weeks (which at the moment I think he probably won't) then it probably is worth it

If you won't spend a trade on a guy missing half the season, who would you spend it on?

Does anyone know how h2h finals work? Does it vary from each league depending on their settings? Cause in my league finals start in round 17, with the top 8. Does it work the same as the actual NRL finals?

Yeah I'm in the same camp - can't see him missing more than two weeks. He wants to be a leader and will be there for his team.

I'm always in the conservative mind when it comes to trades at this end of the season.

Trade a guy who is missing half the season and then next week one of your guns gets a season-ender.
Can't plan for it but you surely you need more than one trade going forward.

I'm still waiting on Harry Grant's return :/
