993 dropped to 117 from 104 but thought it would be more disastrous mid round when I blew out to 1800. 130 points between Lomax & Crichton was not what I was expecting.

You pay for an average not minutes. Paid for a 76 average not 80 minutes. Unrealistic over a full season anyway to expect him to maintain that so you are overpaying regardless

Hoping McInnes to drop cash is pointless because he won't lose much. if he continues getting subbed off he definitely will though.

right back at you! just goes to show how a bit of patience and not chasing points too hard can get you places in fantasy sometimes haha. I played with fire a bit too much early on with a glut of mid rangers but guns and cows is the way to go it seems

Don't get me wrong, I chased points pretty hard and went on a few middies that I had faith in. Sometimes it failed miserably (buying Hughes after round 1), sometimes it really worked out (buying Fotu in round 4 and Flanno in round 7).

For now, I'm playing pretty straight bat with trades, I'm pretty close to my final 17 and I think I'm done with cash cows, maybe one more if a really good one pops up. Now I'm just playing slightly riskier captains instead of Haas every week (I captained Teddy this week which paid off big time and I think I'll do it again next week)
