Pretty sure the ref missed a knock on which hit the opposition's foot in the play the ball that had no bearing on the game that was a bigger story.

I think the player managers and clubs need to do a better job of getting the good new stories out there.

There are players across the comp that are doing good things in various channels.
People need to take a leaf from CNK's book because at the moment it feels like there's one a week coming out and it's contract renewal time too.
Whatever his management is doing, copy that.

Basically just do more than the bare minimum from a player-promotion point of view.

Yeah definitely, I'd look at doing that. Is it for SST? You could look at both and then only pull the trigger on SST->Graham/Burgess if you really want/need to.

Assume Mann back to centres (or wing?) this week.

MTB, this is why you are up the top mate! Trade will be for SST so could always chuck SST at 17, Brittain at 18, check out Mann (assuming he grabs Wing/Ctr) and Drinwkater at 19 and 20 and if they shit the bed I make the move from SST to Graham/Surgess after the Knights game… or if Garner looks like he will be an 80 minute gun, wait a week and grab him. Surely the most I will lose out on is like 20 points and Mann/Drinkwater may even have a blinder.

Not sure if mentioned but Bevan French was granted an immediate release over the weekend from the Eels. Kid is talented and has some speed to burn. In the right club could become a good Fullback/Winger.

French, Hastings and Gurgess have all signed for Wigan.

Definitely not after the squeaky-clean image players.

As previously mentioned over there, most people don't give a fuck about ESL because they are all consumed by the EPL so players have a bit more freedom over there.

Glenn is good to go this week so no reprieve for Coates/Farnworth anytime soon. Also Shibasaki is fit again so Coates/Farnworth will be lucky to play again this season.

Captain choices between the big four this week and why?

Taumalolo against Wests? For me it depends on the make-up of the bench
Smith vs Haas? Could Haas be hampered by the Storm?
Cook on Saturday night against the Sharks?

    smokie?

Right up until you get arrested for drink driving after driving your coaches stolen car into a wall.

I'm honestly thinking Teddy, then Smith, then Cook, then Haas/Lolo at the moment

However, rumours are that Holbrook is going to be named Titans coach soon so the players might actually put in some effort and show attitude to impress the new coach. If new coach hasn't been chosen I'll pick Teddy, if rumours are true will go back to Smith

I was thinking Teddy was a great captain option until I realized the Roosters will be missing over half their forward pack.

Bateman - If Ayshford is named for the Warriors again Bateman will be seeing open space all day!!

Fifita - Had a shocking few weeks of footy, Sharks in a fight for the finals and will want to reinsert his dominance into this pack. Will be up for a big one.

Payne Haas has made 642k this season, surely the most ever by a player in a season?

Fifita could go big this week. Risky play though.

Manly's starting forward pack against the Storm on the weekend:

    Fainu - 73
    Jurbo - 69
    AFB - 59
    Taupau - 57
    Sironen - 55
    Thompson - 53

Given there was an extra 10 minutes these numbers are inflated, but maybe Haas is a decent captain option this week.

Taupau was on about 40 with 15 minutes left (including 10 minutes overtime) and he had about 3 offloads in the last 10 minutes.

Weird Fact - In the last two years Cook has not played against the Sharks once.

      Current date/time is Fri May 17, 2024 2:28 pm
