Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 69
A couple of things:
(a) up the mighty Doggies
(b) Previously I said DWZ was pretty average as a league player but I totally changed my mind after last nights game because he ran hard & showed no fear. I thought he had a great game. The move away from the Panthers seems to have ignited the fuse of a wild/angry man & I like that a lot.

Few cordials Rabs?
Having To'O as a backup this week for teddy/ponga was a nice position to be in (for those that have him, i dont)

And to be fair Bethany called it a couple of weeks ago that she was deliberately keeping To'o for rd 17 cover, when I suggested cashing him out before the bye.

Who should I get, Xavier Coates or Herbie Farnworth?
Coates has massive wraps on him but only scored 16 points including a try last week
Farnworth scored 24 last week and is averaging 47 in reserve grade

I don't think you can read too much into one game. Sounds like Coates is ahead in the pecking order so him I reckon, but don't care for either.

If your season has come down to Coates or Farnworth just turn your attention to FPL and start tinkering for a month’s timeBen Marlin wrote:Who should I get, Xavier Coates or Herbie Farnworth?

What is a line break and what does To’o have to do to get them?
On Brian, he’ll have made me about 230k after this week with more to come.
Has been a great pick up.

Not sure we ever got a clear answer on how rank subs preference DPP players on the bench. On the off chance one of my centres is a late scratching I have Staggs in front of Burns. Would hate to cop a 0 in spite of cover for Ponga/Teddy

Re: NRL Fantasy 2019 Part 69
With Brittain not playing I had to find a 17th man. Most of the cash ITB had been allocated to the Watson to Cook trade next week, so I needed to find a cheap alternative. It was either Naden or Buhrer. Both ending up being a good option for the round. I expect Buhrer to go back to the bench next week with Barnett back.Teeth Eater wrote:
I had a serious look at him at that price but he sadly didn't cover the positions I needed. I wasn't sure and didn't pay enough attention, though, as to whether he'd get as many minutes as last week. I assume he's just been benefiting from outages like the current Fitzgibbon one?
Buhrer was one of the better knights players on the field last night, great try save, solid defence.

If I was going to be critical:
Double Everton defense is risky.
Jimenez. Wolves don't have a good opening draw plus they have Europa this season & we all know how that affected Burnley last year.
The best 4.5's are in defense so I don't like 2 in m/f & I would only have Dendocker.

14 tackle breaks wasn't enough, better give him a couple more to help our sides out - Ramesh and Sanjay.

To be fair, most of Watson's TB's were genuine tackle breaks.

Yep, how about that Burnley lads!
(nfi who Burnley or any of those players are).
On To'o (B2 ), a friend of mine picked him up in SC for the 1st bye and he's been pretty awesome to watch. Reminds me of old school Nofoaluma hitting it up on the 2nd tackle and looks dangerous at times. Is a good back-up CTR for SC and turned out to be gold at WFB for NRLF when many of us expected Teddy and Tom could be rested and already knew Ponga was out for a couple weeks.

I'm on 0 too (have Mann's 23 to sub in for Cleary)
Only dropped 200 ranks, so I'm guessing lots of people in the same boat.
I get the feeling whether you captain Cam or not could be a big difference this round (I'm on the Lolo brigade, so hopefully Smith can repeat last year's effort against the Sharks and cop a sinbin - that would be joy for football and fantasy reasons)

Wow, being forced to hold Watson was v lucky. I'll take it. I thought I'd missed out on Cook due to $s but fingers crossed it has worked out now
