Wighton didn't offer much in attack through the series and apart from the intercept in game 1 he was great defensively. So strong, big hits and very safe on the edge.

I think I'm taking a punt on Surgess too mate. Thinking Xerri to Surgess. Hoping if he's fit he's back into form.

I think I may do this. Milch and Ben Marlin were big helps with my thinking in this;

Xerri -> Surgess via Bateman this week.

Next week - Lomax - Cashie and Watson to Fifi

Week after Possibly Brittain to cashie and CNK to Reynolds or DCE if can afford or a WFB if I can afford. Would leave me with this team and 1 trade left to upgrade Fainu later on.

The Xerri to Surgess trade, probably not worth it that leaves me with one trade and Fainu would have to become a Turbo or Drinkwater for cover. Leaves me with a good team but 1 trade for Fainu and bugger all cover.

Massive punt! Has score over 50 twice this year... in his first two games. Could pay off if he finds something in this back end. I am taking the punt on the Rabbitohs as I will be finishing with Cook, Murray, Burns and most likely Arey unless DCE somehow takes goal kicking back this week or shows me he can still score 55+ without.

I think you need Cook mate or else you may find yourself falling behind even more. Brooks and SST only mid range scorers IMO. Remember though, go with your gut.

I too had the Fainu idea but was told I was silly for leaving myself with 0 trades for the run home

The less I talk about trades (3) here, the less chance I have of using em.... solid approach?

Super annoying that Knights play so early, as Watson and Mann my tradeout targets. Hopefully have info on Coates and Turbo prior.

I think I’ve ruled out a sideways, possible backwards, trade of Nikora to Burns for WFB cover and cash. At least until I panic on Friday arvo.

How long is Gillett out? TPJ has a pretty decent record playing 2rf for 60+ minutes a game?

Wighton was outstanding, I think he exceeded everyone’s expectations, playing out of position. Not sure many could have done a better job defensively

If worse comes to worse and I'm not confident I can leave Faniu as 18th man when Koro returns and he should be good for a 30 point EMG.

Hey guys so I have really narrowed the rest of my season down to the following

7. Arey/DCE
18. Klemmer/Twal/Crichton
19. Burns

1 trade + Martin this week then 18th man comes in next week

versus

7. DCE/Arey
18. Jurbo/Matterson
19. Burns

0 trades + Fainu's 55's from now to R21 when I grab my 18th man
