That is true mate & it sounds there's going to be a lot more games not finishing or even starting with the weather that's forecasted over there  so most teams will have at least 1 game rained off.

How's things with you bro? Still caring for your Dad? On the plus side if u r still up half the night, you have cricket to watch when its not bloody raining! Hope things are well!

Because in almost every situation, the 'extra' game is round 16, where we'll all have less than 17 players and the replacement will be 0.

Even in round 17, if enough origin players don't back up, some people may struggle to get 17 on the park.

This, plus in my example I was backing up my claim that RTS could be the highest scoring WFB between now and Rd 25.

RTS is also a lot cheaper than the other 3 mentioned. In B/L's example of Teddy + Sivo, that's a lot more cash between two players to marginally outscore one RTS. The second guy is an NPR those other weeks rather than spent in your 17.

If RTS gets a niggle and misses some games, hopefully it'll be in rounds where you have a better chance of covering. Couldn't be bothered covering every variable when my claim was simply about most points.

This is true. Probably a Welch/Stimson replacement. Bellyache will get him fit and roaring for 35 off the bench next year.

Will be interesting to see how many of you top guys actually plan for that scenario, i.e. have a couple WFB reserves you can put in, or whether you just accept a zero. Obviously everyone has the choice, but more interesting to see what you fullahs do Smile

My WFBs are Ponga, Teddy, CNK, Sivo and I suspect that is somewhat common

CNK to RTS will be very popular next week, but doesn't help WFB availability if Teddy and Ponga both miss 17.

So my options will basically be hope there is a R16 cheap WFB that also plays R17 that I can use as a cashout.

Can't see myself spending a trade on a WFB otherwise (If I bring in someone like TTrbo or Drinkwater, it will probably be for Sivo, which again won't help total WFB numbers)

Is there a possibility you have a Watson/Lomax who could fill in? Just keep them around 1 week longer.

And you probably won't know until 1 hour before the game. I'd have to say that the club forums of the Storm & Roosters you learn nothing & you certainly don't get any intel because both clubs are so secretive. You go on any other club forum & there's info galore.

Yeah, I think the above will be quite common. Although one would assume most people will dump Sivo too so The common WFB group will likely be RTS, Teddy, Ponga and well planned people will likely have a WFB/Half cover like Watson/Wighton or someone else.

In any case if both get rested Im guessing the majority will likely cop a zero.

Gutho has been cleared to play

Also just watching the Bellamy interview from today. Doesn't seem like King is enough to move on Drinky. He wants someone else. Also dont expect any late changes to the spine.

Cheers bro yep still caring for the old fella. You certainly learn patience dealing with someone with dementia. Sometimes it gets a bit crazy & stressful but on the whole it's not too bad. Took him out for a hair cut earlier & I had one too & then we went food shopping. It's true what they say about dementia patients that they revert to being like a child. No shite if he doesn't get his own way sometimes he has a full out tantrum just like a 2 year old child. You have to see the funny side of it or else you go insane even though it's quite sad seeing your old man like that.

Hey guys, I know this isn't fantasy relevant but do we have a tipping thread or discussion around bets made?

Wondering whether Panthers 1-12 vs Rabbitohs @ $3.75 is a good bet. Rabbits without Sam and Tom and Reynolds look considerably weaker.

Probably not a bad punt tbh.

Just checked the current top 10, and only 1 of the top 10 can handle the loss of both Teddy and Ponga

Cumberland Cobras currently ranked 9th can play Sivo, CNK and Papenhuyzen

Now there are several weeks before R17, many without RTS will trade him in next week (although probably mostly for CNK)
But there are a bunch of other trades that could happen to improve availability.

But those at the top who are able to spend a trade covering their (assumed) absence could make big gains.

Sounds full on man, but sounds like you are managing it all really well.

I dont mean to be intrusive, and not presuming anything, but in the area I work in, its very common to see people not accessing/receiving the financial support they are entitled to. Has you old man had a needs assessment and stuff? and have you been in contact with Alzeihmers NZ? I heard they can be quite good but its area dependent. PM if you'd like mate.

Sorry for derailing the fantasy thread lads.... but there are times real life is a touch more important with our fantasy one Smile

I have Lomax in the EMGs and will just keep him until round 17.

In round 16 the plan is two cash outs (so hoping for a WFB), but it really depends on who is available, and of course they are only useful in round 17 if they play round 17 too.

So nrl physio are reporting Cotric fibula fracture likely out 6-10 weeks but the club says it could be 1-10 weeks so sadly for him he won't be involved in Origin 2.

If Teddy and Ponga don't back up I'll likely have RTS, CNK, Sivo so no worries there luckily
