If you could guarantee me Young will start (and play decent minutes) every week until at least round 12, I'd probably go him.

    Otherwise I'm thinking Deaden/Turpin

I'm actually leaning towards Turpin. Same with you, I'd be worried all weekend that he won't even start come game day.

Would you play Sele over Dearden Turpin or Lomax ?

As long as he wakes up and doesn't break another arm he should score ok, right?

This is my thinking, has scored well when he's actually been on the park so far

Archer’s your boy. Been a long time since I’ve been to a Raiders match.

I don’t know why Luke Bateman fell out of favour though. He’s a good little worker.

Big thing in Young’s favour is one of Raiders only defeats this season, after winning the start prior, was that come from behind Manly win with the worst backline seen to man, was the game Ricky randomly rotated his bench forwards and gave JJ collins and Murchie a Jersey. That loss should ensure Young doesn’t get dropped from the bench again

Only news to watch is for a Tapine early return as that will ruin Young’s minutes

I'm not going to do it, but I really like Fainu. Problem is, that situation at Manly is so volatile. Croker could be back as soon as next week. He's going to score great and make good money in however many weeks he has as an 80min hooker, though.

Thing is, though, he still seems to be getting around 60min even when he and Koro are sharing the role, and he can score big in those 60min. So either way he's not a bad option. If he was $380 it'd be a no-brainer. $480k, and I'd probably still take a stab. But $580k is probably just a bit too much for me to take the gamble.

But I do still think there's value there.

I heard on 100% Footy that Manly are allegedly happy for Koro to explore other options and they won't stop him should he wish to leave the club. I'm genuinely surprised there's no more interest in him from other clubs. If both have 80min hooking roles next year I'd be most interested in both of them.

What's everyone's gameplan for the first bye.
I currently have Mahoney, Rein, Taumalolo, Arey, CNK, and Whitbread  Embarassed

I'm aiming for 12, and will probably doing 2 trades for round 11 + 4 trades for round 12  to add the extras.
Meanwhile I'm keeping an eye out for cows that play round 12, but it's slim pickings and I'm a bit wary after my brilliant Whitbread pick  Bang

Not sure if posted previously but updates on Manly injury front via smh..
Some rare good news on the injury front for Manly fans.

Injuries to Lachie Croker (hamstring) and Addin Fonua-Blake (knee) aren't as bad as first thought.

Won't play against Brisbane on Friday but are a chance of lining up against Cronulla next Sunday.

I was thinking of field. With Hunt being more of a sharing type half field could see some good ball and has so much speed to burn. Heard Norman’s injury would only see roughly 4 weeks out though.

there's been reports that Kikau plays this weekend, would think that means JFH to lock, Sele to bench

I don’t think Dearden, Turpin, Flanagan or any other cow for that matter not playing R12 is a good move

Don’t want to get stuck on one bye round but down to ~20 trades I think the only non bye players you should entertain are guns/keepers.

Farah, Cam Smith even lesser extent Pearce are all reasonable moves in addition to any guns you’re late to (Cook, Ponga, Teddy). Otherwise would recommend Young,

The ultimates right now are picks like Tlolo or Martin who give you both points and a bye player.

If cash and building value remains your priority then might as well get yourself some money AND an extra player in 3 weeks time... Young looks the pick of them. OR...

Strong mail Viliame Kikau is set to play for the Panthers against the Tigers on Friday night. Would be a stunning turnaround considering Penrith thought he was a long term prospect.

Cooks 2 scores against the Cows last year were 84 and 75. Fifi hasn’t scored over 55 against GC in the last 2 years.

I just don’t like the fact it’ll be Sunday afternoon when the field has been fully torn apart.

I have 9 now and will have 12 (10 and 13 if we include Murray, but fairly sure he'll get Origin.) However I'll only have 4 that play Round 16 entering the byes. Will have 18 trades hopefully after Rnd 12, so planning on turning around 7 or 8 players between the byes to get 11/12 in Rnd16. Then bring back Cook & Bateman and all set...

Yeah that's how I remember it.

Stats seem to back it up.

    16 mins for 6
    11 mins for 2
    60 mins for 18
    78 mins for 25
    7 mins for 5
