Also, is there any reason to suggest Holland starts? Wait, Hoppa would go FB and Holland to centres probably.

Woods doesn't really have a direct impact on Martin.
Only that him leaving might bring Tolman into prop and remove him from the lock rotation where he might be sharing with Jackson.

Goalkicker would be Martin or Holland (depending partly on if Holland goes into starting team)

Sounds like good news for Martin to me

Keep Watson this week and trade him to Turbo next week bringing my bank down to 320k.

When the time comes and hopefully Cook has come down to the 800 mark I can make a decision on wether to go Graham/Murray straight back to Cook in Rd19.

Will cost me 4 trades at the best and 5 at the worst.

    Make sense?

    Personally I would keep Cook.

He might give a low score this week, and in R18, but your team looks good enough to handle that OK without necessarily making a trade.
100% you want Cook in your final team and will be trading him back in.

Matterson however, will be missing 2 weeks at least, and if his injury recovery doesn't go well, might miss more. Plus he is not a certainty for your final 17 - having McInnes/Cleary stay there for the long haul looks an acceptable substitute. So trading Matterson out can be treated as 1 less trade than trading Cook out.

Watson is a bit less clear. Mostly it depends on what sort of scores you think he'll produce for the next few weeks. This is a prime example of what R&T was talking about. Anything we say will be based on our guess for what Watson will do. Your first step should be to have a look at Watson's scoring potential, decide whether he'll score 40s, 50s or other and go from there.

Personally I don't think Watson will be in your final 17, so if you can trade him for a final 17 player, then it is probably worth it (assuming you retain decent positional cover)

Damn, I had Hiku to Cleary locked in but with RTS out, it might be wise to hold Hiku.

I'm seeing lots of love for Olive - despite that he has averaged ~ 15-20ish at centre over half a dozen games in the past.

I didn't see his R12 game so maybe he was a beast and people are going off that...? Or are people using him as a cash out that may give you an extra 20 odd points in Round 17?

    Apologies if already discussed..

    Don't forget 17 too!

The way I see it, cook likely gets about 20 min this week and 18 (so lets say 20 points) + nothing in 17 but maybe 65 in 15 and 16. Thats 170 points from 14 to 18.

McInnes or any other, lets say 55 point player (who also plays 17), will score 275 in that same time period. Thats 100 points for 2 trades, and some cash. BUT, 1 of those trades (Cook back in) could be part of a bye round strategy of bringing in someone like Mannering/RTS/ Ryan James etc and then trading them back out (for cook) so the way I interpret it is that you are effectively using 1 trade for 100 points and $. Tats about as good as it gets at the moment isn't it? In fact I don't see anything better.

I asked the same question and basically a cashout with potential upside that plays 17. I agree with you though and don't need or want him.

Holland would be the pick you'd think. But I don't know if they have some youngster in the lower grades that they would be willing to give a crack.

If Mbye does indeed move this season, you'd think Hoppa would then revert to fb

In 14 and 18, he'll be able to play someone else instead of Cook - he won't be copping a zero (or 20) - he can probably get a 40 point player both weeks.
So its only 17 where McInnes provides great value - and I think he'll get more out of trading him in for Matterson/Watson than for Cook.
Unless he has tonnes of trades to bring a bunch of players in and out over the next month.

Great analysis, it's the reason I traded Cook last week albeit riskier not knowing he would be benched. There is certainly some potential there but if I had Matterson I'd be trading him instead.

Good point, I overlooked that, although looking at a lot of teams, particularly those that are holding Cook, their 17th man option this week is not great! I'd be surprised if man are expecting more than 30 out of their 17th man this week. So lets revise my numbers by 20, still 80 points and $ for lets say 1.5 trades.

Agree Matterson is a trade too, and potentially a better one, but I'd argue with 2 trades this week, Matterson and Cook are the way to go.

Anyone out there still holding RFM?

Tempted to trade to McInnes / Cleary this week.

High BE and with Tolman back and Martin still around he could potentially could lose minutes?

Holding till after R17 would be nice but could loose ~$80k in the process if he averages 40..

I traded last week but keeping my eye on him to perhaps trade him back in in round 17.
