With your halves I'd never play Maloney as a starter. That's at least some part of the appeal to trade him in.

You have a lot more freedom to look at other guys like JFH, Cotric, JMK (slightly cheaper), Murray, Arrow, Macca or any other cow/gun that takes your fancy.

Way I see it. Worst case - Maloney makes 50k and was a miserable failure as a starting half. Best case - he jags another huge game with some respectable scores and we ride him to a 250k gain with good scores in my halves.

Realistically I think he makes around 125k. Is that worth a trade to you?

It is to me because he fixes a hole in my side as well and if he flames I don't think Carty or Croker are really going to do any better.

Nah i gotta agree with the stormtrooper. A tacklebreaking fullback who you can play as a centre who is NOT Dugan. Even one that plays for the Raiders, he will be straight in my team before he scores a 70 and jumps price bracket. Kid is a gun through and through, glad he had a "quiet" 40 last night

I reckon you've answered your own question. An underpriced fullback that you can play at C in fantasy... If he's got the fullback gig, he's in my team for sure. I just gotta ru some numbers to figure out when's the best time to grab him cause he's had some funky scores this year!

Maybe not a must have but I'd consider him a great buy and season keeper if he plays FB full time. He just needs ball to score points, which he gets fuck all of at present on the wing. Quiet game last night, and first game at FB, and scored 40 points..

Yeah people need to rememeber the make-up of your side has to come into it.

Telling people not to make a trade without objectively looking at the make-up of their team.

I made the mistake this year of going light in the halves and picking the wrong mid-range centres (in retrospect I could've stuck with Hiku over Hayne and be doing a lot better).

For most people, they are making the trade anyway (to ditch Cartwright) so the question isn't so much is it worth a trade, but what is the best value they can get for the trade that they are committed to.

Much appreciated information! I am sort of getting my head around how to actually get the optimum amount of guns in my team and when to trade players etc. I have 108K ITB and I don't really fancy spending that for an upgrade any time soon. I think my team is pretty well good and travelling okay for a few weeks until the cows peak. It's just a bit confusing as to when and who to trade and whether I do a double trade, trade a middy and a cow to a gun and a Basement player or trade two middies to a gun and a cow/middy. All so hard to pick.
