U could take the 100 and reinvest the 98.

    I'd let it ride.

That's the one playing on my mind. I'd have to drop $500 as hedge to match it, or take the $100 and punt the extra for a $500 return.

But I'm $10 out of pocket

    We're fuckin riding it !!!

All good things must come to an end. It was a great ride while it lasted. The wife had already spent it so no loss really, I wasn't going to see it either way. Thanks for the support.

Long time poster and agitator @Krump decided to ridicule the signing, implying that Kenny wasn't exactly the cream of the crop, even going as far as to mockingly say "they'll win the premiership now". So with just the semi final to play for a grand final berth tell me Mr Krump from one Tigers fan to another ...........

I had one of the better betting weeks I've had. Won 14 bets straight.

Started off with $200 each night, would put a bet on a line bet ($1.80-$1.91) and then double that up into something. Then depending on whether I'm still feeling confident I would load up again.

In the end I made $4.1K profit last week. The betting run came to an end when I went Scotland over Japan last night, if I went Japan I would have won $1.1k yesterday alone.

Either way my trip to NZ is paid for next year.

The above was my reply to you lol. Looks like we both did ok. Hopefuly you hedged and took some profit.

Absolutely hollow victory bet win for me though.

I had some decent coin on England to win, and also I multi'd up on the Crusaders + England + Roosters (all tournament wins). Effective odds I now have on the Roosters is $60. Just gotta hope they make the GF and I'll cash on that though.

All that said, I was absolutely gutted for the Kiwis. Posted in the other thread, but that deflection that gifted England a bonus 4 runs and enabled them to get it to an extra over, coupled with the fact that the match was actually tied. You really have to feel for them that somehow that all ended up meaning they lost the WC.... Funny how sport works!

Luckily for me I was travelling to London while this game was on. Was expecting wifi on the plane and hoping therefore to be able to hedge in game. Wifi was down, so had to let the bet run.

Probably one of my more satisfying bets to be honest. Picking tournament winners is never easy, but multying up 3 of them is nice Smile

If anyone is interest in a pretty weak teaser this weekend, I've gone Tasman -6.5 and BOP -6.5 in a multi. Pays about $2 from memory.

I've also added Australia and Japan +22.5 each in their respective RWC QFs to bring the multi to $4.

Other long term bets I've recently placed:

    NO Saints NFC winners @$5
    NE Patriots Superbowl winners @$5

and still riding the BOP and Otago for Mitre 10 championship and Tasman Auckland for the premiership (bets posted quite a while back. I expect BOP and Tasman to win those respectively.

Oh, and I've also taken a punt at 30:1 on a Japan All Blacks final in the RWC. Its a long shot obviously, but Japan are going great and IMO only really need to get past SA (which they did last RWC) and the bet is well and truely on.

    Cheers.

My main multi came through but bloody lucky today. Got a bit extra with OZ and Japan, but not that hopeful at half time the way England are controlling things. Fingers crossed though.

Edit: spoke too soon, nice try from the OZs to start the half. 1 point in it now!!

Wow OZ are pretty bad, but that was an absolutely clinical performance from England. Dominant. They are a real threat for the tournament based on that!

BTW, whats the point of a video ref in Union? The on field ref doesnt even listen to him lol! cost me a bit of coin!!

If anyone followed my Mitre ten cup outright picks, both BOP and Tasman into the finals, both pretty big favourites. Not a bad option to hedge on each I reckon.

Tasman should win, but worth making sure you at least break even on the year by backing Wellington at nearly $5.

BOP HB will be tighter and it wouldn't be a huge surprise if HB win. That said, I think BOP wins that one too. My strategy will be to hedge to the extent that worst case I break even.
