    For every tree fiddy we have accumulated in the cash comp, I have posted a tree fiddy meme.  Behold said glory below!  If we get to 5 tree fiddy's ($1750) then I vow to post an actual GIF.  Yep, y'all heard right.  After 7 years on the forums it will happen-BUT only if you allow it!  You need to ask yourself-could you be the one to make the difference? The answer is 'probably', depending on the total before you enter...

    #seventeenfiftymakesstandardprettynifty

    Combined pool is currently $1050.  That is exactly tree by tree fiddy's!

    Such a long time coming a cash league. Well excited for it, even if prizes have improved in the real game and the competition here is shit hot! I think play FPL for so much money about time I backed my NRL time spent with an outlay. 🆒

    I tear my hair out year on year over fantasy when my team costs nothing to enter.

    This league is going to age me.

    That's how we finished last year, and I hope we start this year like that.

    Probably go Rochow, Lawrence, ET or something similarly uninspiring

    Best part of the year.
    week 1 team list tuesday. Hopes and dreams at an all time high.

    Also the worst part of the year comes in about 5 mins after kickoff when my marque POD goes down with a season ender.

    I think I have about 13 players locked in to my squad. Have about 15-20 players contending for the last 8 spots.

    Most annoyingly I can't say with confidence who either of my 2 centres will be at this point. Tempting to run with 2 cheapies but scoring potential is not great amongst the options

    TLT1 lesson from pretty much every year, but I do wonder if it applies in the new 21 man squad...

    Ie. If there’s one budget buy you really like, be it a Milne or a Butcher or whoever else you’ve been backing since pre-season, back yourself and find a slot for them even if not named. You’ll most of the time be saving yourself a trade later on Smile

    Other than Lachie Croker (who will def be named), I don’t like any of the rookies so I won’t have to apply the above this year Evil or Very Mad

    Strong base! I think only about 5 or 7 have survived every iteration for me

    I stand corrected it is 9 players who haven’t budged;

    Smith
    Lodge
    Croft
    Tedesco
    Ponga
    Cook
    Cartwright
    Croker
    Kennar

    I think I’ve had about 68 combinations of backrowers and Centres. Fun times but where the cash will be won and lost no doubt this year!

    Subtract Kennar, add
    Murray
    RFM
    Katoa
    Hiku

    Guys like Kennar, Thompson, Nicholls will probably be in my team, just waiting to see what other options are available.
    TPJ pretty close to getting a run as well.

    For other spots its just about where to spend the cash. Currently starting with Fifita + Merrin, but might downgrade either to upgrade bench.

    Definitely sound strategy mate having a team that is competitive among this lot first and foremost. Base/spine of templaters. There was some scaremongering about how bad Hiku was as in a trial but he will near certain make my team. DPP with decent fantasy history/pedigree. What’s not to like there sub 300k.

    Just have to remember that our forums template isn’t the overall game’s template lads so needn’t get creative with entire 17!
    Lolo = 30% owned
    JT = 23% owned
    Gagai = 16% owned
    Hayne = 15% owned
    SJ/Turbo/Cleary/Crichton/McGuire = all over 10% owned

    I would say these are very lightly owned in our community which keeps it real

    Happy TLT everyone!

    The way I’m going to go about picking my team is;

    1) CS9 (c)
    2) Mid range players with starting spots and good job security.
    3) Cheapies with starting spots and good job security.
    4) Fill remaining spots with guns.

    Hiku's long term average at centre is 30, and he is priced at 19. Ideal squad filler, especially with his DPP
