Where would you get the idea that Watson is another Elgey. He averaged 27 last year with an average game time of 42 minutes.

Hopefully as an 80 minute half he will up that to 40-45.

    2016 11 games at centre = avg 41
    2016 8 games on wing = avg 41

Based on last year if he gets the centre position there's possible value. Based on previous year either wing or centre he is value.

Personally, priced at 441K I think there is much better value out there than SKD.

Those mentioning the new fantasy desktop site have made excellent points regarding the crap user interface. I personally was really disappointment when I logged in to it for the first time and saw the stark visuals! I really liked it last year when the player cards where placed over a green footy pitch visual, it made me feel like i was in control of a cool footy team. Whoever they hired to do the graphics and in particular the user interface (given all fiddly menus, no drag and drop etc) needs to be shot.

I completely agree with the poster (sorry can't find the post) who said that fantasy is the only reason they would tune in to a knights-titans snore-fest on a Sunday arvo. If the prizes were better (e.g. pay prizes down to like 500 spots even) and the experience was better (user interface/visuals), then it could be a real reason for people to watch the footy which means more advertising revenue from FOX and Channel 9 and more money for the NRL, no brainer.

His average as an 80 minute half is 38.

You can't really translate his bench appearances (many of which he played hooker with an associated high tackle count he won't get in the halves) into a full game performance in the halves.

Still value, but don't set unrealistic expecations.

Lachlan Croker is the best bet at this year's Elgey (although that is based on very limited data of him as a first grader)

    And

McQueen, Tigers will be tackling and a lot to start the season, I can’t remember
how he was at the bunnies and Titians.

Griffin as starting hooker averages 38 points (in 48 minutes) priced at 26.1
    There is definite value there.

McQueen's career average as big minute 2nd rower is 38. Priced at 26.7
Value there as well (although some concerns about recent injury history)

The big difference with Croker is he is priced at 15. Elgey was priced at 21 (and still is for that matter, haha). Much easier to score 10 or 15 above your price when you are at basement price to begin with. Particularly in the halves, you would hope Croker can at least average 25. That's what his price prediction is, so there's that Very Happy

Which wing is Katoa hoping for again? I seem to recall Moylan being good at knowing how to get the ball out to the left edge. Or I could have made that up, someone will tell me I'm sure.

Who will be the CTR pairing for the Donkeys?

    Roberts and Opacic?

How do we think Opacic will go?

I reckon NRL are missing something here.
If it wasn't for this FF stuff I'd probably would have lost interest in the NRL. (I'm happy they want to crack down on the play the ball thing.)
How to get people more involved? Either make more of an effort to advertise FF or just make the winners prize $100,00O. That will get some more interested in the NRl.

I think he will go well. Averaged 33 the year before last from six games of 80. Four tries though. I'm putting him down for about 30. But I don't think I will take him as if I do, Bird will come back earlier than expected and Opacic will get two games.

"Bird has barely been able to train with his new club since undergoing shoulder surgery on his arrival at Red Hill.

He still hasn’t began full contact work, and is due to miss the start of the NRL season.

At this stage the club has him pencilled in for a round four debut.

Bird also confirmed to Channel Nine he has agreed to play centre for the Broncos, the same position he occupied at Cronulla.

That’s despite suggestions he would play at lock or in the halves for his new club."
