I don't think he has been mentioned much if at all on here but Dane Gagai is a serious POD.

I looked at him - but is he worth a precious trade over just playing Sione or Fui?

Probably not at this stage however I just thought I would throw it out there. You could have an abundance of trades left so trading in a POD like Gagai could prove worthwhile.

A reynolds named eh.. lol. If its a four week injury would madge really be so slack to allow him to be named? Who knows..

Ill bet right now that curtis scott plays. I dunno why he does it but young T always seem to be a late switch out of the team, been happening for years

How is the Broncos team different to the start of the season??

Through the first ten rounds Macca had an average of 64 before something happened in rd11 where he played 60 minutes.

Anyone thinking he can get back to that kind of scoring??

Hasn't been kicking as much and basically only been tackling every game without any attacking stats. Can't see much changing with Benji coming off the bench.

Maybe been saving himself a little more in defense. In rnds 3 4 5 we had three really tough, low scoring games where he made 60+ tackles. The entire start of our season was tough game after tough game..

In the picture posted that started the rumor, he had a thumb guard on. I know Bryce Cartwright played on with one last year so I had my doubts it was actually broken.

I'm going to keep an eye on Cartwright... with Merrin out he might get an extended run in the 2nd row from next week onwards. He might be a good cash-out for either Lolohea or Elliot.

Bring in CS9 this week. Hope it works better than the Norman to SJ last week.

    CS9 McCullough
    Fifta JBrom
Gallen, Tlolo, Crichton TPow, SBurgess, McGuire
    Munster, Walker (SJ)
    Fui, Hayne
    Slater, RTS, TTurbo

    Whats option do I do
Leave as it is now and run with Fui
    Trade SJ out for DCE
    Trade SJ for Clarey
    3 trades with 53K

    Smith, McInnes
    Wallace, Taupau
    JDB, Gallen, Tolo, Surgess, Crichton
    Pearce, DCE
    Hayne, Fui
    Teddy, Mansour, Walker

What do I do this week?
    6 trades left.
    I had Wallace -> Fifita
    and SJ -> Munster

If I make those trades I will have $62k I could drop someone like MWZ and upgrade Fui to TTurbo.

Would leave me with 2 trades left for injuries - thoughts on this?

Not sure the SJ trade is a necessity, seems more a luxury when you already have WAP and DCE. I'd be more inclined to do the Fui trade this week as he has almost peaked IMO and TTurbo is coming back into the form we expect and he was showing prior to injury.

I like the Fifita trade for Wallace, will strengthen you FRF but not sure how you'll be for cash on that front.

Finally, two trades for 6 remaining rounds scares the living shit outta me unless you have some scary depth sitting there somewhere. As we've seen this past week, not hard to lose two important players for 6-8 weeks in one round let alone 6. I'd be wanting 3 as a bare minimum unless, like I said, you have ok coverage via DPP's and whatnot.

Still might mean more involvement for Cody, although ARey will still annoyingly be eating up the kick metres.

What with Crichton playing with a broken foot that can only get worse and Inglis being left out there half-dead, Madge has some serious player welfare questions to answer this year.

Mad love for Betoota Advocate yo

    http://www.betootaadvocate.com/uncategorized/decade-origin-losses-put-ferguson-dugan-schooner-lunch/

“It just doesn’t make sense” says one high-ranking member of the coaching staff who played hungover every single first-grade match for twenty years in the 70s and 80s.

“Why did they have to have a schooner of beer? Why didn’t they settle on a high sugar soft drink like passiona?”

“Or something with a bit of pineapple… No vodka though”

“Why did they have to drink 2.0 standard drinks each?”

“This is a real blow to the confidence of our players. We won’t win for another few years after that result. It hurts. It really does. Josh and Blake are to blame”

I think upgrading Fui is a bigger priority than upgrading Wallace at the moment. Fui seems more than capable of a low score

Thanks mate. Looking at BE I think I will wait for Fifita next week.

SJ sitting on the pine wasting money isn't a luxury I don't feel.

I've gone Jimmy the Jet instead of TTurbo.

I don't think so either. SJ won't be playing again this year, and if you have him, he's in your best 17. If you won't spend a trade replacing him, who will you spend a trade replacing?

If you only have 1 playing hooker, then perhaps you might save your last trade to protect that position rather than on SJ. But otherwise you will almost certainly get better points return replacing SJ now rather than waiting a few weeks to save the trade for another injury that may or may not happen.

Oh no, don't get me wrong, freeing up that coin is definitely something that I'd be doing as well as having it sit there for the rest of the season is definitely a waste. When I said I felt it was a luxury I was referring to this week. You have DCE and Pearce already who will serve you well this week, I feel Fui peaking is a more pressing issue as that's money that could be lost if you hold him unlike SJ who won't move at all.

Jimmy the Jet is a good proposition for the run home and with an ownership percentage less that a quarter of Tommy T's could grab you some rank spots for sure. I like it.
