It's always sad and a difficult time when a close family member dies mate, just gotta work through it and support everyone.

That's a decent pick up in rankings over the byes mate, keep going and aim for the top 1000 next.  Up to 801 which I'm stoked with considering I was outside the top 10000 in like round 5 or 6 and still slowly climbing.  Have SJ also but also have Munster and Cleary so he will become Turbo to get the Brailey to Smith funds.  Will have 5 trades after doing those two next week, so sitting well happy.  SJ wasn't ideal, but that's fantasy.

    Cheers mate.

Shit that's a great uptake in the rankings for you well done. With 5 trades left I reckon you're in a great place to make a run. Many of the top teams if we use the guys in here as an example are all down to the last 2 or 3 it seems as a result of the unlucky bye rounds this year forcing many coaches to bye trade heavily with lots of ground to be made up. You can just do 1 each week or 2 where necessary and still have a spare 1 or 2 for the inevitable injuries that will curtail so many above you. Look for a good run I reckon bro

SJ to Pearce and Fui to Teddy gives me a final 17 of,

    Smith, McInnes
    Fifita, Taupau
Gallen, Surgess, Mannering, JDB, Taumalolo, Brown
    Pearce, Cleary  ( WFB dpp)
    TTurbo, Scott, Hayne
    Tedesco, Munster, Mansour, RTS, Edwards

Or save the two trades for another week as I can cover SJ with Munster for now.

    Thanks in advance.

I'd definitely hold the second trade, but there's really no point holding SJ, trade him IMO.

Fingers crossed mate. A couple more injuries and yeah, got a great shot to climb up even more once some of the top teams run out of trades.

Thanks for your input guys. My head is telling me that I should do the sensible thing and conserve trades but at the moment I'm not listening to it and I'm still swaying towards my option A. You guys have much more experience then I do but at the end of the day we know that it is all about luck and injuries can strike at any time so it can go either way. May be naive of me but I think I may throw caution to the wind and hope fortune favours the brave lol!

Sometimes mate we ask on here for advice secretly hoping to get answers to change what our gut is telling us I believe. It's no ones fault, but the more we read and ask, the more we let others opinions change our way of thinking. That's what this place is all about and everyone on here has great experience and advice, but sometimes you have to go with your gut and if it works, you knew it all along cause when you don't go with your gut and do the opposite, when it fucks up it really kicks you up the ass.

Cheers Wolfie. Yea you never know what's coming round the corner. Had a close family member pass and had to take a fair bit of time off work to sort things and then just been knuckling down catching up since I returned to work so really only been checking in here every so often, mainly come Thursday or Friday night just getting the team for the round all sorted.

Managed to pick up a fair few rankings though through the byes which was handy. Was around 4500 I think heading in to the byes but up to 1863 courtesy of a 997 last week (just needed one more TB Taupau Bang ). First year bye planning and it seems to have paid off. Stuck with the same SJ to DCE/Pearce conundrum everyone else is having though but at least I've already got Cleary so one less variable there.

What about yourself, tracking along well for the run in?

Sorry to hear about your loss mate, it's a horrible th!ing to have to go through.

As a Souths fan, it's hard to really judge which way Madge will go here. maybe Johnston back to fullback, Goodwin/Jennings out to the wing and perhaps Fui into centre with Turner getting a recall? Cody moving to the halves and even though Madge doesn't want that, I'm not sure what other options he has. Unless he is that stubbon he keeps Walker at FB and throws Cook back into the halves.

How do the DPP rules work?

Looking at MWZ who has started 3 games at centre, but not always initially named at centre for all 3 games (named twice from the reserves).

Does he only need 1 more at centre to become dpp?

Of those 3 McInnes to Smith is definitely the least urgent. While Captain Cam is nice McInnes is going great guns.

Elliot to Vaughan most pressing I feel, but RTS/Lolohead to DCE offers a lot if you believe DCE keeps the current form. With only 3 trades left I'd be hesitant to use 2 right now so I'd say go with Elliott to Vaughan. You have a truckload of spare cash that you can hold on to to upgrade to DCE no sweat. Would probs do Vaughan this round, wait 2 or so or until RTS/Lolo start declining noticeably and then bring in DCE, with McInnes to Cam probably worth waiting till maybe rd 23/24 when you can basically say 3 rounds left zero trades fuck it let's hope for the best
