Merrin will kill it from here. He's fit. Getting minutes. No personal shit. He's gold.

If it's a straight fight for a 2RF spot then Mannering, but Taupau one of only two first tier props while there are loads of gun second rows, so depends on who else you have there.

Good point. I think I need TPow. Maybe Fifi then.

Do the two major bye rounds exclude 95% of players winning overall. I’d think so.
Do the major bye rounds discourage many players from continuing to the end of the season when they don’t score very well? I’d think so.
It seems like fantasy needs to encourage players to become more serious to play the full year.
So what do people think if this weekends and the previous major bye round simply didn’t count towards overall points?

I like the bye rounds. Organizing a solid team through this period is like an extra challenge during the season to reward astute coaches. You can always play in a league and turn the bye round scoring off, but if they tried to take your suggestion on board for the overall I would legit find a new Fantasy game.

    How about:

ET -> Kennedy (more than I wanted to spend on a cashout but should get two games starting backrow which should be decent??)
RTS -> CMat. Another cashout plays rd 18 but Knights play 19 so you never know, could get another game.
Graham -> Kapow. Gun keeper who plays 18/19 for a guy who plays neither and may not be a keeper this year.
Gives cash for Fifita rd 19 and Pearce rd 20.

And one trade for the run home.......

Terrible idea imo. Love the challenges that bye rounds present.

There's 3 mate. Personally I'm just used to it and it is what it is. I think it's an extra part to the strategy and playing Devil's advocate, I think a shit tonne more teams would be nigh on identical if it wasn't for the byes.

The bye rounds are a pain in the arse. Despite the best planning you can get a few injuries or players get called up for origin which is pretty frustrating and fuck it up too much and it can write off your season.

Despite this, it also makes the game more challenging and interesting and I'd rather keep it than see them not count.

In my second year I'm loving the bye rounds. You can really make up some ground. With 100 000 players it needs that extra level of difficulty to sort the men from the boys.

The bye period is important as it gives chasers a chance to catch up & if they weren't counted towards overall the competition would be over by round 10.

Yeah that was my conclusion. I'm very confident I'll have enough cash. I just don't have enough trades and it comes down to whether I want go all out and take the risk.

Just realised if i trade in kennedy ill only need him for this week anyway as he'll be my 18th man in rnd 19..

Unless of course tedesco doesnt back up which seems like a reasonable chance to be honest..

Yeah this has also ruined all my plans. I was also looking forward to having L.Brown as an ongoing backup in case Fui went back to bench or axed completely (who knows with madge these days!). Asspelican Fine doesn't provide the security to let me safely trade out Leilua, and now I can't afford to upgrade Capewell to a gun playing this round to complete my 17. Brown has me two players down for this week and one week behind on my plans. But hey, at least we didn't pick him up last week!

No trades this week. 14 playing. Fuck Lewis Brown.

Yeah I was looking to bring in LeBrown and Whare this week as cashouts. Royally screwed my plans. Now I need to get out of the mindset of what I had in mind and make sure I make the best decision based on the current state of play

No way. Might as well play head to head with that sort of thinking.

Bye rounds sorts the men from the boys.
