I regretfully selected Brenton Lawrence in my team and was continually thinking about how to remove him throughout Rd 1...until he eventually played and inevitably stunk it up significantly.

Now he actually looks like a chance of jagging some decent minutes thanks to Manly's prop crisis but should I just be cutting my losses instead???

He's surely a keep in that current pack

I get to pick up some decent cash cow CTRs and have a couple of hundred grand in the bank for the following rounds to upgrade other players.

This is so bad I threw up in my mouth a little bit.

    Care to elaborate?

If ET keeps only scoring low to mid 40's and Moga can keep scoring around 40 or so then I'm not really losing out to much points wise but gaining a good chunk of cash in the bank on top of Moga potentially making 100k+

I liked your trades this morning turning ET into Tedesco.

@VikingTaxman I still haven't had a good chance to assess the team properly but I think one of the bigger omissions in it is Tuivasa Sheck personally. I'd look at which of your expensive wfb or ctrs you don't want (because you've got someone like Cotric with dual positions) and trade him in for them. You should get the same if not better scores for less cost. Personally I'd give Roberts the flick but that's because I dislike him and think he's overrated so that's my own bias coming through

Elgey will eventually bust out a 60 or so and hopefully enough reasonable scores of 30/35 either side of it to cash him out at a half decent profit imo. Just gotta sit tight.

ET went off with bleeding ears and they were in control but otherwise he was Fensomesque tackle wise. I'm not touching a player that's had 3 knee reconstructions and left training with heart issues. I don't know how you went without Talakai but you did. I missed out on Hymel last year after last day switch and I didn't get him and still did alright.

Oh man I just realised a very tempting play I can make this week with dpp. Trade out jwh, shift Wallace up to FR, shift Maubs up to 2R (can bench/npr him if I'm not confident in his scoring), shift TTrbo to CTR and then bring in a cheap wfb. Giving me cash to do something like turn Kelley to Keary and make a leapfrog play like I previously talked about .. Definitely going to have to play around with this and see what I can get but I think it's a goer

In general I'd rather have other people death riding my player hoping he finally has a poor game, than be sitting tight hoping my player eventually does something useful

Yep do it, I don't recommend the kelly to keary bit, but the trade sounds good

Don't do it mate. That's 2 trades down both centres and the problem continues.

Pick one. Set and forget him and hope you don't have to trade him later. I'd suggest Talakai is the safest pick on that front. Everyone will be trading out or benching Moga's red dot at some point this year, that's a given. If I've learned anything in the 11 or so years playing it is that I'm a fkng tradeaholic idiot and I never adapted since DT days where it was simple, just play forwards in the centre

    Average v NZ - 69.24
    Average @ MSS - 60.6

Does anybody see any glaring trades? I can't seem to find any. The only one I can think of is D Saifiti - Wallace, but I think I'll keep DSaifiti for another week, I'm keeping the faith.

    Smith | Brailey
    Vaughan | Kaufusi - DSaifiti | Yates
    Surgess | JDB | ET - K Brom| Smat | Sironen
    Johnson | Jacks - Elgey | Field
    Suli | Talakai - Idris | Kelly
    Tedesco | RTS | Hayne - Cotric | Phython

Only 2K in the bank so no wriggle room. Doesn't seem like I have to trade though does it? Only really missing Moga/Wallace, can't get every gun though. Everyone else is scoring as expected, Cash Cows that is.

    Thanks!!
