Sione would be in backrow ready to be sent down to CTR if I need emergency repairs.

that is the bonus with Sione there, an easy fix.

Having Pythian in your 13 causes all sorts of problems if he crashes.

I'm running with BJ in the centres, is that silly with his price tag? He's a keeper til the end though.

was trying to counteract that by starting with Smith, McInnes, Fifita, McGuire, Surgess, JDB, Norman if he fails completely downgrade one of those to the hot early season cashie like JTurbo/Whitehead were last year and upgrade Pythian

I like to think so mate, ideally he turns into a decent scorer and makes some quick cash but then you have the Feeney factor at the Knights

Breakout season ridiculous amount of TBs. Surely unsustainable. One I'll wait to lose cash and pick up later

Problem with Going Smith, king in the hooks. If King tanks, and needs to go. you have to have an early harvest. Getting him out might cost you 2 trades, and a half decent mid ranger just to get someone semi decent in. Throwing out the plan early.

I haven't set on who ill be playing, thinking someone like Hodgson or Mcinnes in place of Smith, with a Peats or something as back up.

Broadly the two outcomes will be King tanks, and ill continue with my chosen hookers until I can reasonably upgrade on to smith with out jepordising the rest of the team.

Or, King starts making points left right and centre, I drop the back up hooker and play king making cash on the trade, and future cash on King. Which will mean getting smith in later is much easier.

    No panic trades required.

For CTW. and Full backs. Im running:

    Bird Idris Kelly Rjennings

    RTS Hayne TTurbo, Ponga, Phythian

Think its a good combo of known scorers and potential money makers. Last season I went Heavy on CTW and FB and it slayed me. This year im watering it down.

King is Scott Moore Mk II if not worse imo. I'm hoping for a Sharks hooker. Segey if he gets the gig. I have Mort as a placeholder who I've always liked as a player but looks like Flanagan is not a fan

King to start off the season scoring around the 40 mark in turn there are mass trade ins before he goes down injured the very next game.

anyone considering talakai at ctrs? could have some longevity with gray out. there was talk about rjennings which unfortunately hasnt come good yet.
hes got a stocky build. might be good for some tbs. same price as uate. very small sample scores to refer from, but there could be value even as a npr.

biggest issue is the glutton of ctr cheapies. (kelly, scott, idris, whare) and not missing out on the right ones

But who kill cop the KOD blame for breaking him if that happens?

On a related topic what are Supercoach/VSDT players doing with King?

Skipping him for first 2 weeks and bring him in if he fires. or starting with him for the cash and ditching him if he fizzles?

I think whoever takes Gray's spot Jennings/Talakai/Burns will be very popular.

Last I heard Whare still struggling with injury. And Kelly not even a sure thing to be named, so some of these cheap centres may evaporate before round 1.

To answer all the above questions - I'm not sure. I won't be starting with King nor will I trade him in even if he does fire. His injury history is a massive concern not to mention he has never produced outstanding scores when he has been on the park previously. I do not play VSDT and have stopped playing SC. As I said earlier I will be running with Smith and one of McInnes, Peats or Macca depending upon TLT.

Wasn't Rabs talking up Talakai last week? Surely he would have some inside info and know who to look out for. He has a good track record and runs on the board as I clearly remember him talking up Cody Walker before he went on to have a breakout season.

    re mataora:

Barry Toohey ‏@BarryToohey  8s9 seconds ago
No mate. Mataora missed early part of training so bit behind and other two with niggles. Same for Feeney.

other two was referring to Randall and Paea.

If you don't want Mataora to get his fitness up in a full strength trial then you could suppose he won't be there in Round 1 (eg will get fitness back in NSW CUP)
