They get around twice the players, 200k I think. Point though is the NRL actually starts 3 weeks early so yeah, more players to look after in the AFL, but 3 more weeks to get it ready and they would still have the same out weeks prior to the actual "the real" AFL comp starting.

How do we see the Rabs pack starting out? Not sure he is worth it coming off the bench

    Gurgess
    Farah
    Tyrell
    Sutton
    Turner
    Surgess

    Cook/Clarke
    Musgrove
    Turgess
    Rochow

Dave Tyrell might miss out though Madge likes him, think Tom will start with Musgrove myself which leaves a bench on Gurgess, Clark,Rochow and Cookie/Crichten depending on how Madge wants to go also Anthony Cherrington could find his way into the team if he shows good trial form, one to watch.

As a back up if you cant get in you can still PM me as an anonymous poster but I can't PM you back if you are anonymous. If that happens then I will put any info you need in here. In saying that, the process always go smoothly.

Anyone want to guess at who will play hooker for the Tigers and (assuming it will be shared) how many minutes each will get?

There was that whole Rankin thing last year and we were actually winning some games around then. However, I think most of us would expect JT to run with Ballin and Liddle.

Ballin with 50 odd and Liddle with around 30 in total you would think each side of half time. Ballin may end up playing some backrow eventually as we have lost Halatau and more than likely Lovett. This could eventually see Liddle getting some decent minutes. The way the last 18 months have played out, the Tigers are looking to Liddle as the future. Cherrington was no slouch but got shafted for Liddle and Liddle is very imressive allthough still very small and they have asked him to put on 5kgs.

Some would say he is quite..."Liddle"

So would Ballin and Liddle both be ok picks for their price? Haven't seen anyone mention either on here

If fit (and its no guarantee) I'd expect ballin to start. Share time with liddle, Rankin or McIlwrick.
I think Elijah Taylor would only play hooker if in game injuries forced it.

I think liddle missed out last year due to 2nd tier cap issues, so he might get first shot.
But don't rule out Rankin providing hooker relief again.

For maybe the first few rounds I think Mcllwrick and Liddle will share. Ballin will then take Mcllwricks spot when fit.

Yeah, ET was pretty bad at Hooker.

I think McIlwrick is cover for Ballin if Ballin doesn't get up for Round 1.

So, if we're excluding ET from Hooker duties, surely he becomes an under valued back row option?

Yep, only problem is a lot of changes to the pack this year with Halatau/Siro/Lovett gone so who knows what is going to happen. If anything though, makes ET more secure as a big minute backrower.

I can't believe I have ET on my shortlist. I had him the last 2 years and each time I destroyed him. He was posting keeper type scores so I brought him and he went backwards from then. Both years.

I'm not sure if NZ residents can purchase Fantasy Coach however I'm not entirely sure you need it. Our very own resident bovine @Milchcow posts up all of his very own spreadsheets which includes breakevens, predicted price rises/falls etc.

Milchcow has even dedicated an entire thread to all that good stuff! Click Me

From what I've heard Jacob Lillyman has had a couple of preseason injuries. Was originally going to be picked for nines sqaud but Kearney has said 100% not going. More forward trouble at the Warriors. Albert vete looking a good pick
