I wouldn't be so quick to jump on that after the coaches watched souths implode in the back half of this year.

"Back half of this year" being the operative word's here....

This year Sportsbet offered some juicy odds for an Australian club whitewash and if they are stupid enough to do the same, I recommend everybody load up

Whats that got to do with the price of tea in China? Souths will be in their local hospital wing, coming down off a stilnox+redbull coma.

Cowboys should be playing Wigan to get a Bowen/JT reunion. JT can show him the ring.

They'll be treated as trials not as anything important, I've not doubt we'll win at least one and probably 2 but I doubt 3.

Last time I checked, the Broncos also had to travel to England and do the Auckland 9s in the pre-season.

Yet we have to sit here and feel sorry for poor little old South Sydney and how tough it was in the run home to the finals.

Last time I checked Broncos didn't win 2014 premiership, didn't win the World Club Challenge, didn't win the Auckland 9's and didn't win the 2015 premiership. About as successful as Newcastle over the last 2 years.

    Over 2014 & 2015, Souths played;

    - The same number of regular season games as Brisbane
    - The same number of finals matches as Brisbane
    - The same number of WCC matches as Brisbane
    - 1 more 9's match then Brisbane did

So 18 more minutes for 9 players.

What an extra burnout. No wonder they crashed at the back end of the season.

It's the way Souths went about the WCC and the 9's not the number of minutes played. They went all guns blazing and it bit them in the arse, I'm very doubtful about teams making the same mistake next year Bang

Brisbane went to the WCC all guns blazing - from memory only Reed didnt go, because of shoulder surgery. Looks like that will be the case again.

Maguire caught lightning in a bottle at the back end of one year. Will be exposed over the next year or two.

    Extra burnout??

Broncos had 6 times as many players involved in the most grueling part of the season (SOO).

Maybe Souths didn't have enough burnout....

They did match our representation for Australia in the ANZAC test (plus 1 kiwi) - maybe thats why we lost.
