Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy pre-thread
Team lists were changed to a Wednesday or Thursday *this* year. But they were changed back to Tuesday for Big League publication deadlines (the only reason they are thread in the first place)
I can't see Big League lasting that much longer as a print magazine, but for as long as it's around I think TLT is g here to stay

Hard to believe they would sell enough to be economically viable these days.
Still have a few old issues from when I was a kid, loved the magazine.

I only learned it existed like within the last year or two.. and I have never had a reason to buy one.

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy pre-thread
Back in the old days, I used to hang out for every Wednesday (Thursday when I moved to Perth) to get my Rugby League Week. Would buy it and then as soon as I got in the car would start reading it and pretty much finish it there and then.RandomSil wrote:I only learned it existed like within the last year or two.. and I have never had a reason to buy one.
Actually it wasn't a car, it was a horse and buggy in those days, but you get what I'm saying.

Back in the mid 80's I'd finish my paper round and buy it with my tips. Tight arse newsagent child labour hiring mutha fucker didn't even give me a discount

When I was in high school the library had a copy each week, that thing was always pretty tattered by the time I got to it.Your Name wrote:Back in the mid 80's I'd finish my paper round and buy it with my tips. Tight arse newsagent child labour hiring mutha fucker didn't even give me a discount

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy pre-thread
Back in ye olden times, back when the internet was a thing of wonder I'd buy Big League and/or RLW pretty regularly.
Back in the 90s RLW used to be a great magazine, but its gone downhill since then and there's barely anything worth reading in it these days.
Big League is OK and I'll sometimes buy one at the ground to give me something to read.

Hey MS. I was PMing Trent G from FB the other night to give admin on that group the heads up that I'd be PMing yourself and the other lads from Sportal a link to here, one less PM I have to send now

Bennett hates Gavet because he gives away penalties and drops the ball too much

There are a fair few Sportal lads in Legends so it is a good place to start.
Will need to be pushed into the bottom league this year because I'll be spending 4 months in Europe in the middle of the season so my fantasy team will surely suffer

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy pre-thread
Anyone manage to grab a list of 2015 final prices? Would be good to compare to 2016 starting prices and find the biggest variations

Re: 2016 NRL.com Fantasy pre-thread
Are final prices on my spreadsheet somewhere?
If not I'm sure I've got them somewhere.
A comparison between end and start price doesn't tell you much other than who finished the year well

He was out injured more than he played. You would have to suggest it was more off field than on that led to his release. So nothing to do with the fact he is ill disciplined, uncommitted and prefers a drink to hard work and Bennett despite being super coach wasn't able to turn him around ?
