This is as good a place as any to post it I guess, since its almost a running joke by itself and not worth its own topic.

Watched the Footy Show last night for the first time in about 4 years. Fuck me. What rubbish it has turned into.

The theme song and entire opening title sequence is terrible - looks like a grade 10 media project
Fatty looks like he should be taken behind the sheds and put down.
The entire first segment was something about Molan crying (literally) about her fiance cheating on her or not cheating on her - who gives a fuck. Its a football show, not days of our lives.
She asked Guerra the same question he had just answered, twice. Shows she either isnt paying attention (and if shes not why should I?) or just operates on autocue autopilot and is just as dumb and vacant as she looks.
Big Mahn just sat on the end seat of the panel and barely said a word. Why is he there?
Apparently having the Screaming Jets is meant to be a drawcard, because its still 1970.
Beau Ryan. WTF is with his head. Do I just not get it? Am I old now?

Not having watched it, I was generally aware of its decline but you dont realise how bad it is until actually witnessing it.

Thanks for saving me the trouble of checking it out at some stage in case it had improved. They lost me many years ago.

Not sure what your expectations were ryno but I still thoroughly enjoy it to be honest.

Agree @ryno_ easily one of the worst shows on television. I would sit through half an episode of MAFS with the bride if it meant I never had to see an episode of that shit again

My expectations were quite low, but it managed to sink below them. It lost me even before the first ad break where they dedicated 5min to Molan crying about how tough her personal life is. Ben Ross snapped his arm in half on stage and there were less tears then that.

Don't take this the wrong way... but what parts exactly did you find enjoyable? The high mark was the JRey interview and even that was pretty ordinary.

Thankfully I sat down after the Molan tear fest and by all reports I would have probably got back up and done the dishes or something equally as unenjoyable if I had of sat down earlier.

Not a fan of Molan but accept that is the approach they are going for (same as the AFL Footy Show - which I also enjoy).

The parts of the show that I enjoy are the player probe's and even good old Raudonikis' dribble. I also still enjoy watching Fatty, the Big Marn and Beau along with the players that are on.
I generally tape the Matty Johns Show and watch it afterwards.

Don't have time to watch a lot of TV and when I do it is normally sports or news shows.

I can watch a series but because I am so OCD I hate missing any episodes, so I generally just don't start the commitment in the first place.

The best part and only bit of the footy show worth watching is Small talk with the big marn. Genuinely heart warming and funny every time, and the occasional Beau Ryan celebrity interview.

The rest of it is just... terrible. Horrible horrible show. Not funny, poorly run, unprofessional, they barely talk footy etc.

Its just shit.

The matty johns show shits all over it. NRL 360 shits on it for footy talk, even the one with the chicks on it talks more footy than the footy show.

It's moved into the "Hey Hey it's Saturday" genre. Light entertainment, with the odd painful sketch.

Oh, I get the direction they are trying to take... I just can't stand Mole-an and her tears. Yvonne Sampson is a much better sports-journo, no idea why they turfed her for Molan, and theres a bunch that are better on other networks. Or, if we are insisting on having a female on the panel for the sake of quota, is there not an actual female footballer to get on? The Jillaroos have a few girls in there that arent terrible in front of a camera.

The Big Mahn segments I dont mind but Im not prepared to sit through 2 hours of dribble to watch 3min of him. Beau Ryan stopped being funny when he got given more then a 3min segment.

hannah hollis isn't bad either, in fact fox have a few female sports journo types that aint bad. Molan is just another reason to never turn on channel 9, can't stand her

Is it just me or does that look like a fat tattooed Anthony Milford?
