Just a word if warning for anyone with 17 or less this week who is tempted to try a loophole.

If you want to Captain Smith, but your 2nd hooker is Hodgson or Parcell, you won't be able to loop.
Raiders vs Manly is first up, so their players will lock straight away, and you won't be able to sub Smith off the field.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's negotiations going on behind the scenes between the two clubs for an early release.

Someone wise has already mentioned make Feeney an NPR so if he gets a negative score it won't count in your total...(won't work tho if you're trying for the captaincy loophole unfortunately...)

    Yes, yes he is

I nominate him for the 'Carter Award' this week

he has played 4 games this season, all being 80 minute games and has increased in price by -$2000
    That is deadset a record

    Stats
    13 missed tackles
    6 errors
    1 Penalty Conceded

Combined effort of -40 points in 4 games.

    Fuckyou feeny, FUCK YOU

This raises a good point. Should we have the Carter Of The Year Award after Round 26? Work out a negatives per game average. If that is too complicated then just the highest single game negative tally; or maybe if someone wins it multiple times?

You can trade a bye player any time until lockout ends. So you can trade 1 bye player for another bye player at 10pm Monday night if you really wish.

    Seemed like a silly buy

Well in the pre-season how was I supposed to know how shit he was going to be. He got given the fullback jersey ahead of Mamo and wasn't exactly like there were many other basement priced cash-cows going around. Turned out to be a bigger flop than John Palavi because at least he was two and out then sitting on my bench all year. Feeney is now a potential AE nightmare until Mullen comes back.
Although if you mean people who bought him as a downgrade for the bye round well that was a terrible idea. Never even cracking a 20 score in 3 full games of football should have sent alarm bells ringing.

So looking at the Saturday games this week how likely is it the Broncos/Cowboys/Storm will give some of their Origin players a rest? I mean looking at the Cows they face Newcastle at home would they really think it's necessary to play JT after a 3 day turnaround? Given how sloppy they were against the Dragons and how spirited Newcastle were I wouldn't be so arrogant as to rest all of them but would they really think it's worth risking JT?
Also worried about Cam as a captain option this week (Well not really he'd just back up and smash out another 70 wouldn't he?) and Gillett getting rested with short turnarounds.

670/14 from me in the end, up +900 to 682nd. Would have been nice to get Bhana and Toutai as well but you can't win them all (unless you're BarbaShop).

Only 5 on bye this round, Hastings or Asiata my 17th man. Will try not to trade this week.

Okey Cokey.  So I was looking at bringing him in.

Firstly-his shit scores were at Fullback not half.

2)-even if he scored 11, it's 11 free points because it was purely a cash out.

c)-Lamb is out long term and Feeney was given the nod over the other potentials.

Fourth point-he is DPP WFB/Half and I have Barba and Hughes in the half spot so Feeney at WFB gives me greater bye flexibility.

e)-let's not forget that my apparent idiocy doesn't always prove to be idiocy (just mostly, not every time Very Happy  ).  Who can forget the Soliola to CLaw trade last year?  Well none of you can forget it because I keep reminding everyone of this sheer piece of genius foresight at least weekly Very Happy

Last but not least)- I have mixed up the points formats in this post to take away your attention from the fact I was considering bringing Feeney back in at all Embarassed

Making a trade just to keep open a potential loophole for 1 week (that you probably won't use) is not a good idea.

Make the best trade you can as priority 1. Then work out if/how you can loop.
Just captaining Cam with no loop possibility is not a bad outcome
