Yeah just heard that too. Interesting on many levels, but I guess first and foremost on this forum it will be fun to hear where people think he may end up next season, who has the cap space?

    In Fantasy?

Probably not. I'd guess he'll get a small discount, along the lines of what Sam Burgess got.

    Who's Jarryd Hayne?

I remember he was a must-have in Fox Sports fantasy a few years ago, but then backs were scored highly and gun forwards were basically the equivalent of consistent mid-rangers in their scoring.

I hear the Knights need a fullback and must have a few million cap space free, can't see anywhere else that they're spending.

Lol - former ASADA boss says Hayne may be ineligible to play in the Olympics due to being part of the NFL which is non-WADA compliant!

I think that is a lot of the Knights' problem - they are wasting a lot of their money on a few players who are underperforming anyway. I think Uate is on 500k for example. Snowden and Smith leaving might free up a bit of space, but they need to recruit some experienced players of even just above average ability, and unfortunately, they will likely have to pay serious overs to get anyone to want to move there.

Holy fuck Uate? I was neglecting Hodko and Mullen, must be a bit there, but yeah I completely forgot about Snowden.

I'd hate to see him go to the Roosters or Souths. Knights could use him badly and it's not a bad home for a proud NSWelshman. This is coming from someone who really doesn't like the Knights either.

I'm pretty sure he's just going to go to a premiership contender though, since that's about the only thing he hasn't achieved, despite maybe thinking that he has.

I can't remember what Hodko's contract amount was but I would guess that Hodko and Mullen are probably on around 1.2 mil combined. Then I think Gagai's overpaid as well, and no ideas about the Sims. It quickly adds up and leaves the squad with no chance of depth, other than the poor kids who get thrown in the deep end.

I think you're right about Hayne, he seems to just be bouncing around looking for success, so I really can't see him coming back to the NRL into a team with no premiership hopes.

it would be interesting to know parras cap situation for next season. they werent actually over the cap for 2016 (as it stood on its own), but the NRL tacked on the previous years breaches. with guys like mannah & de gois and a few other nuffies off contract and probably not due to be re-signed they may have some space to play with. probably not enough to pay hayne what he's worth i guess, but wasnt there some provision in place so that if hayne returns he has to come to parra? (or was that all just rubbish)

Currently on 844 points and 140th overall up from 196. Only Hastings and Mitchell to go though so expect to back down again.

Haha, classic, that would throw a spanner in the works. My brother in law in the States who loves his footy tells me it was more than likely Hayne would have had another season with the 49ers at least so would be a bummer for Hayne if he bails on that only to be ruled out of the 7s team!

On the salary cap thing rumours over here are that Hurrell is on 500k a year. That must be pretty up there for a reserve grade player, especially someone of his age and level of experience.

Re: byes i wouldnt go chasing points. As long as you have a solid 10-12 players each big bye round you should be ok. Teams will prob pass you over the bye period but as long as you can save some trades to finish strong then you'll pass them back.

Anyone else got Benry in their squad?

He could be invaluable to guys like me with no trades left later in the season. :pp:

So, was talking with someone who has Taupau and needs cash to upgrade C. Walker and I'm thinking Wade Graham is looking pretty good.

So good infact, that I'm thinking about upgrading BLaw to him this week, and Gutherson to Aitken.

    (C)am, Parcell
    JBrom, JTrb, Tolman
    Harris, Cartwright, Fensom, Ma'u, WGraham
    Milford, Hastings
    JRoberts, Aitken
    Munster, Barba, Ferguson

NPR: Gavet, A Papalii, Lamb, Feeney, Lolohea, CScott, Kennar, Bowen.

Doesn't leave much in the bank, but plenty there between Gavet, Lolohea and Kennar to upgrade Ferguson to Tedesco in a few weeks.

Don't know if I want to leave Lamb out to pasture with Knights facing the Tigers though. If he's ever going to cash in with some attacking plays, it's this week.

Anyone going to flick big Marty?

I think he's a hold for 3 weeks, but an extra gun scorer for 12/13 would be pretty useful.

If he gets 4 weeks & misses 15 then he's dumped.

Also what's the word on fensom and his scans?

He had scans Saturday and was cleared of anything serious, but not 100% on his inclusion.

"Fensom is hoping to be fit for next Saturday's away clash against New Zealand Warriors after having scans on a rotator cuff injury he picked up against the Dragons."

    http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/league-news/nrl-shaun-fensom-admits-impatience-killing-canberra-raiders-in-close-games-20160514-gov5ld.html

Would allow me to include Lamb comfortably if Fensom was ruled out and I went ahead with my planned trades.
