I dont. Was just giving him options. I could of rattled off every gun half really.

    Thanks mate, appreciate it!

Does anyone have any good ideas for cash-out options in the FR or SR that are likely to double up as productive point scorers over the Origin period, and then pretty much shelve thereafter?

I'm considering  Ofahengaue, Kaufusi, and/or Asiata. Thoughts? Any others that I should be looking at?

Well Ofahengaue plays one bye round so he's not a good option for mine. Bennett does like to rest his Origin players though and if they're cruising along at the top of the table then he could see more game time but it's a what if? Asiata and Kaufusi from the Cows are decent cash-out options, should get decent scores with Scott and Tamou out.
I don't know about anyone else in that sort of cash-out range. I'd eye off bye friendly players at bargain prices like that Adam Elliott who could play in the back-row when Jackson plays Origin. However they are a bad AE risk so you got to weight those things up.

Too sideways? I'm starting my trades now for byes. 526th overall, so want to try and maintain and improve on that. Plus I bet a bit of cash to upgrade my high mid rangers into guns after byes.

    Thoughts?

    Smith (C) / Parcell
    Alvaro / S.Burgess
    De Belin / Ma'u / Whitehead / Taumalolo
    Johnson / Hastings / Lolohea
    C.Lawrence / Aubusson / Holland
    Barba / Munster / Tedesco

    NPR's - B.Lawrence / Packer / Henry / Leuluai / Feeney / Gutherson / Mitchell

    144k in the bank.

I don't want to regurgitate my own post but any thoughts or alternate options?

Cheers for the advice. Yeah after posting I realised Ofahengaue was probably not a great option. I started by looking at teams who will need replacements for their Origin stars, forgot to look at the actual bye schedule Smile OK, yeah Elliot might be a good option, hadn't looked at him.

It feels like wasted trades to me, are those guys going to make you a heap of money? Probably not. Safiti or Taylor just need one big game and they're back bringing you money. I don't like the trades but that's just me.

Ash Taylor to Lolo looks good to me. Despite people saying Taylor has more cash left in him, it's only going to be a couple thousand at most and will need trading next week anyway. Just can't see him being viable at all with TRob there.

Alvaro definitely looks better than Saifiti, but don't think I'd want to be potentially stuck with Al just for the byes. Rounds 15 and 18 are still a long way away, and I'm not convinced that the Eels players will make up what they lose over more legit players. With 144k in the bank and Al's 263k, I'd look at Tolman or Mike Cooper who both play Rd 12.

The only positive about this week, we have an extra 24 hours to make some trades.

Some may see that as a negative though...

Seems like the kind of player that the Warriors would pick up for no reason whatsoever and pay overs for him.

    Warriors or Knights?

He's taking a pay cut to come back to Newcastle.

If only we had signed Ashton Sims, we could have had a set of 4 brothers, 3 brothers and 2 brothers and a partridge in a pear tree.

Anyone know what the likelihood of Brad Abbey getting a run during Hoppa's Sunday School lessons and the Origin period?

Need a WFB or CTR under $145k that's likely to play at least Rd 12..

My team is so much sht at the moment. I've been burning trades but making bad decisions at the same time. All help appreciated.

    320k to spend. 23 trades.

    Parcell Garvey
    JDB Sburgess Jtrbo Vleuluai
Whitehead Fensom Parker Carter Bhenry Jsaifiti
    Hastings Taylor Cwalker DCE
    Aubs Holland Gutherson Kennar
    Teddy Barbs Latrell Gordon Feeney

    Welcome

    Here's my 2 cents:

As a first priority I would upgrade Garvey to a gun hooker, especially with Parcell in doubt for this weekend and questions around Parcell's minutes when DCE returns (Koroisau on the interchange?)

Secondly I would look at trading Carter and Jsaifiti for someone like Mannering (at bottom dollar at the moment). Both Carter and Jsaifiti look like they have peaked as cash cows, but they won't lose money at a rapid rate yet.

Then I would look at the halves, Cwalker you could hold onto for the one origin game he might play or trade him out. Both Hastings and Taylor scores might drop with the return of Pearce in round 9 and the return of Tyrone Roberts last round.

And keep an eye on Aubs score he'll make some money this week, but might go downhill next week.

    Value buys of the week:
    FRF:
    Tolman (risky)

    2RF:
    Fensom (you already have him)
    Mannering (must have)

    HLF:
    JT (best value for h2h)

    CTR:
    Lolohea (in the Centres only)

I had the same dilemma and the only one I could find was Anthony Don (lol) unless there are fringe players that I have no idea about

Well Stanley is due back next week I think? Which coincides with Hopoate going missing. Im guessing J Morris to FB, Perret + Rona wingers, Stanley + Holland CTR's?

Is it just me, or is there not as many cash cows at this time of the year, based on previous years?

I agree Finchy. I think it's the trade off for there being so many rookies at the start of the season (relative to previous seasons anyway)

Also, anybody thinking of binning Parker around Origin time? He hasnt been setting the world on fire this year. 50 points is good, but you can get 60+ for Mannering etc

Thats another 160-200ish points to add to your total at the end of the year.

Forgot about Stanley, he'll probably break again anyway... You'd think Perrett would play FB though.

i reckon alot had to do with so much player movement between clubs this season.

alot of 'backup players' for clubs this year are discards from other clubs. eg making clubs debuts but they have some first grade experience already and therefore not priced as rookies.
