    If it’s 42 or so it’s a no if it’s 45/46 it’s a yes does he get 55-58mins or 60-63mins?

Watson looked good in trial does that take away Cheese mins from 60ish to 55ish.

DPP is obviously handy and he plays first up

I honestly think he averages 44. Not enough to pick him. But the scores that make up averages go up and down. I can see a world where he starts on fire and makes me look silly.

Did they mess around with his role too much ?

60 mins split evenly either side of half time up the middle of the park seems like the best way to use him.

From 7th to 9th doesnt seem much but i thought souths struggled a bit last year. Injuries to other forwards maybe?

Murray is great with two good props in front of him to play off

I think this is key. Souths had lots of injuries to the their front rowers last year.

At 60mins I think he’s worth it at 50-55mins probs not. Hard to get a gauge on what mins he will actually get.

Avoid if playing for overall I don’t see enough value I don’t think he plays close to 80mins either. Might shift to middle rotation at times too

    Haha yeah fair enough.

Murray looks pretty much set but I'm interested to see if someone like Havilli works his way on to the bench at some point.

Havilli will be there no doubt , Muzza is our Capt. he will play big minutes unless the scores a blow out - the Bunnies ball control was woeful last year which may attribute to his deviation in scores just throwing it out there. The old memory is fading but I think he also filled in at centre a few games as well.

I'm thinking of picking him because of his lack of early byes (first bye is R14) and the fact that he's actually got some upside unlike Robson. Grant is the only hooker I like but I almost certainly can't afford him given our severe lack of cheapies.

Last years Brandon Smith's highest average for 10 "consecutive" games was 42, from rounds 5-22. But it was injury as much as anything that held him back from consistency last year

He can easily sustain a 45 average for stretches though and has done numerous times in the past, so just take a punt if you feel he can do it

Robson did avg 54 first 12 games last year but not sure he can replicate that

I guess one thing to consider that we could all agree on is taking Kini and Pap they have early byes so you need enough solid cover to cover that

If you go with Kini I think the notion is have enough cash to potentially upgrade to Campbell? Easier said than done. I also don't trust that Campbell comes in and plays 80, but I have no word on the plan of his comeback.

Easy, just cover with with Weekes. His job security is rock solid. Rolling Eyes

I am backing both Murray and Cookie for a bounce back year, I cannot see JD picking Mamozelos on the bench when you have Havili there. Cookie has a low ownership so ya all be playin catch up to get him in Razz

True but Weekes is in my back 3 currently with Kini and Pap.

Do we reckon it’s better to get one keeper WFB this year like a Teddy or Ponga? Means sacrificing elsewhere and not sure there will be 2 viable cheapie centres.

You're going to have a problem in your WFB as soon as round 2, that's assuming Weekes even gets named round 1 in the first place (might only happen if Strange cops a suspension)
And if Campbell comes back round 3, you get 1 game out of Kini

Given how little value there seems to be at WFB, it may be necessary to get one gun. I probably wouldn't pay up for Ponga but that 600-700k range has a few options

Think I may just throw Suaalii or someone in  that price range there as a caretaker until things become clearer.
