Still a great option. Is always going to rack up tackle counts and will score at captaincy option level each week. I think with the way most people set up their teams this year though most went with a 1 elite level gun in the 2rf and surrounded that with some mid rangers and Mannering losing the captaincy gave enough people cause to worry and went for someone like Parker/Surgess/Merrin instead. Won't really be in a position to bring him in till at least the byes kick in but if I had Merrin and was looking at getting myself a reliable gun upgrade I would go Mannering or wait 1 week on Fensom

Gavet went low and hard and cleaned him up. Awkward looking tackle but nothing in it. Pity nrl fantasy don't credit players back points they lost for penalties conceded if the charge is bullshit and gets turned down by MRC
