Initially there were fears Peats had fractured his arm, but reports later filled out of Parramatta's sheds that it was only a sprain.

After the match, Eels coach Brad Arthur said the early news was that Peats wouldn't miss too much football - if any at all.

Smith's never a bad option but beware of changing your C because someone has a big game. Last year I captained Parker Round 1 he got 37 so I put the C on Graham next week and Parker got 60 so I learnt to just pick and stick with a captain lest I constantly pull my hair out I'm picking the wrong captain every week.

Just concerned that Parker may not get 80 mins every week. Still always a good option, but Smith might have the better consistency as a captaincy option

Parker wont be playing 80 mins this year nor did he play 80 each week last year, he doesnt need to play 80 to score 60+

I don't think Parker has gotten 80mins for over a year or two now. Unless they are struck down with several injuries I can't see him ever playing 80 again

I know he used to come off most games but I thought he spent a lot more time on the field with the extra interchange. Maybe I'm just trying to justify his first two scores when there probably isn't any need. Does somebody have info on how many mins he's played in the first 2 rounds compared to 2014/15?

I agree but I think with the rise of Gillett and McGuire if anyone needs to play 80mins due to injury I think it'll be McGuire now

So the BE's are are a bit easier to calculate than I thought once you've worked out the formula. It's figuring out the initial formula that would have done my head in so hats off to you Mr Cow.

I heard from a reporter the same one who told me Roberts signed at 2am haha. That if the Broncos are ahead by something like two tries he won't come back on unless theres an injury or the opposition is coming back. Its Bennett trying to give more minutes to younger players to get them more used to FG so if there is a problem they can step up. I think that's why Niko got more minutes which is a surprise I didn't think Macca would be rested at all this year

Random wrote:So wait Milchcow regarding Big Bye Rounds, does that mean players who play those rounds are less likely to increase in price?

Only compared to their official Break Evens (because the BEs tend to be overly optimistic about things for big bye rounds)

Overall the total price change for the round will be $0, so roughly the same number of people will go up as go down.

But if you look at the BEs on assistant coach you could be led to believe that a lot more people will actually go up in price than will in reality.

This is the one time when I feel comfortable backing my BEs over the official ones. Because last year I catered the bye round effect into my formula and the official ones didn't. (They may have changed that for this year, we'll find out just before round 12)

Well, its not all that dissimilar to the DT/SC formula, which had been worked out by others long before I got involved.

The old saying about seeing further by standing on the shoulders of giants applies here. I just advanced on the good work done by whoever initially worked out all this stuff.

Once you know the basics of how it works, finding out the exact value is just solving multiple simultaneous equations. 1st year uni stuff, so its somewhat advanced but not overwhelmingly so.
