Proposed date is Saturday 12th August

Roosters vs Dolphins at the SFS 7:30pm

Earlier games that day are Bunnies vs Dragons at 3pm (in Cairns), Tigers vs Warriors at 5:30 (in NZ)

So if that date works meet at a pub in Surry Hills to eat/drink/watch games and then head to SFS to be disappointed by Teddy's Fantasy output

I'm going to have to confirm closer to the date. I've cashed in all my leave passes for a 2-3 week road trip with the boys and get home the weekend before.

Hoping to be in Queensland first week of August so good chance I can be down in Sydney for this on my way home

Flooding at Birdsville no worries so you might get lucky amd have water in Lake eyre, if there is I highly recommend a scenic flight

99% certainty I'm in just gotta convince the missus I should have 2 weekends of debauchery in a row

Been watching the water come down from the top end and road closures. A lot just opened back up this week. Fingers crossed we get the best of both. It's still 3 months away so water in the lake might be sparse, another cyclone in WA next month would be handy.

It is what it is, I suppose, but I forgot how expensive even basic accommodation is in the ~post c*v*d~ world.

If we don't care much about food there are a few decent pubs on Foveaux street running from Central Station to the stadium. Can end at the Captain Cook hotel (normally packed on game day) or the Cricketers Arms if we want a bit more breathing room
